They sound new for substantially longer than others
Only gave 4 stars on the Value for money part simply because for the price, it performs exactly like what I would expect from a $38 pack of coated strings. I do love how they feel and sound for sure. They sound so crisp and clean. Gave it 4 stars for brightness because they're bright but not steel bright. They still have nice big bottom end. DURABILITY is insane. I've had them on for a month now after playing for hours a day, and purposely not cleaning the strings, they still brand new to me. They sound like some other strings sound after a few days of playing. Definitely sticking to them

Actually Surprised
I put these on my bass sometime mid 2021 and now they've been on the bass for roughly 4-6 months; something I would NEVER do or really be able to get away with using other roundwound strings. Even though I just keep expecting and waiting for them to sound dead or weird, they just don't. Really surprised at the longevity. I'm probably going to toss them in the near future because eventually I am pretty sure the wear spots on the strings will start to effect the intonation and that won't be acceptable but until then I'm gonna let it ride. These are definitely worth the money considering how much use I got out of them.

the feel is amazing but may stand some getting used to if you've ...
I've been using these strings for about 8-9 years now, I'll never buy another type. The tone is bright yet smooth and not over agressive, the feel is amazing but may stand some getting used to if you've never used them, kinda like the slimy feeling when you get your braces taken off. They used to have the issue of the coating coming off an lbs making the strings "furry" but they changed their coating mixture and it no longer does this. The biggest plus is the EXTREME longevity, I usually replace these strings about once a year, but have been known to go about 2 years. They only begin to sound dull around the 8 month-1 year mark. Buy em, they're sweet.

Done searching for the best bass strings!
Tried many bass strings like Fender, Ernie Ball, and GHS on my Fender Jazz Bass, and they either didn’t have the sound I was looking for or couldn’t last more than 3 weeks of use. These Elixir strings sound AMAZING and will definetly bring the life back to your instrument. If you’re not well experienced with bass strings or torn between another brand, spend the extra buck and get these you will not regret it. I’m using Nickel mediums because I like the tone of a thicker gauge string, I would also strongly recommend the medium/light gauge.

Great but terrible packaging over at Amazon
I love these strings.. However l, packing needs to be much better over at Amazon. My package was delivered with the package open with nothing inside. Envelope packaging is obviously flawed. You can't tell it in the delivery picture but it was open during the photo. Either my delivery guy stole them or someone at Amazon stole them. Either way, scum of the earth..

Perfect For A Fretless
I never much liked Elixir strings until I tried a set of these Nanoweb strings on my fretless bass. I was looking for something that wouldn't chew up the soft rosewood fingerboard of my bass. Someone pointed out that the Elixir strings were coated to reduce friction and prolong the life of the strings, so I figured I would give them a try. I'd put the original Polyweb strings on my fretted basses before and didn't like them at all, but I figured the Nanoweb strings HAD to sound better than the black nylon flatwounds that I'd put on the fretless to begin with. They DID sound better. Dramatically so. If I didn't know better, I'd say that the Elixir Nanowebs were standard roundwound strings, and had no coating on them at all. Of course, this might have to do with the fact that I put them on a fretless. All I know is that these strings sound great on my fretless. Your results may vary on a fretted instrument, but if you're looking for strings that you can put on a fretless bass while still preserving that roundwound, Jaco Pastorius sound, while avoiding damaging your fingerboard, this is the obvious choice.

Bright, clear
i love these strings, they have a bright, clear sound reminds me of Greg lake's recorded sounds with ELP, or Chris Squire of Yes, highly recommended, bass a hamar normal scale never sounded better

Way to tinny
Other reviewers have described these as very bright, but it's more than that...these strings sound tinny and cheap. I'm sure they will be lasting long, but I can't stand the sound of them.

Corde Elixir - Pienamente Soddisfatto!
Complimenti a rivenditore e corriere!

For ever and ever...
Beautiful strings and definitely worth the price. Being a professional musician in the '60s early '70s I recently decided to take up the instrument again for my own amusement. Not being available when I was a pro these strings were new to me ( I used to use La Bella back in the day). Supposedly they were less punishing on the fingertips and last longer. They certainly are easy to play with no cuts to the fingers after lots of slides eg Come Together -The Beatles. They are more like a nylon string to play, with a smooth silky finish. They also have a rich full tone which being a La Bella aficionado I particularly like. As for longevity. If, as they say, they last a working musician at least six months I probably wont ever have to buy another set. I'll ask my grandson to update this review in 25 years, HeHe. I would definitely buy these again. Oh by the way the instrument I have them on is a four string Overwater Classic "J" bass.

Geniales
