This us a birthday gift. Have not given it yet but I am absolutely certain they will love it.What I liked best is the background on the characters. My personal favorite, Sirius Blacks family. Well worth having for any Potter fan. Even a casual one. A very easy read and well thought out. Just go to your favorite characters and enjoy.If you can call it a down side, it does not go deeply into each character but gives you an overview. I would absolutely by this again.

Wow! I just got this in the mail yesterday and it’s really well done in my opinion! The book itself is SOLID and has every character you could ever want to know and more! And must have for and Harry Potter super fan!And I just wanted to send some snaps and love to all involved! Worth the money!!!

This is a great encyclopedia of characters from one of, if not the biggest fansites of the Harry Potter series. It's absolutely full of little bits of information, importantly all from canon, if it's not stuff mentioned in the main books, then it comes either from Pottermore or from J.K Rowling during interviews and convention panels etc. It goes pretty deep too, literally if a character is mentioned at any time in the books, even if in passing, then they will be included in this and you'll likely find out a ton of more info than you ever thought you needed. It's all laid out clearly and in alphabetical order and there are even a few extras thrown in for good measure with the Black family tree and the history of the American school of magic etc. My one gripe would be that they don't source the extra info, but it's no big deal, I just think it would have been interesting to know where it came from exactly. It's a fantastic resource and fun book for any fan of the Harry Potter universe and in my opinion, the best of the three mugglenet books.
