RamRodz 0.22/0.223/5.56 Caliber Gun Cleaning Swabs (300 Quantity)

Like the RamRodz for other calibers, these are great for cleaning/oiling revolver and pistol bores. I have even chopped the heads off and shoved them through my .22 rifle barrel with a cleaning rod. Saves time and does a better job than patches alone. The only down side is the cost, which I don't care about since they do such a good job. You may find it best to roll the head between your thumb and forefinger before adding solvent or oil, as the rods may be a tight fit.

You have to start by pulling these through. Then you can get some back and forth motion and clean the barrel but you cannot start by pushing it into the barrel. Also you need the adapter for your rod to use these. They are not long enough to use on there own.

I like the sturdiness and the way the cotton is secured to the rod.These hold up well to pressure and the tips absorbs the dirt and cleaning solution well.I use them for all types of uses in cleaning firearms and many other applications.Great product!!! I love them!!!

I like using these - getting away from the old method.Bore and cylinder fit is good. Stick handle good. Tip holds a good bit of solvent and makes cleaning/swabbing fast and easy.Got em in .22 & 9mm and when needing to do some cleaning at the range this is a faster & cleaner way - compared to patches.

They work well and are good quality.If the fit is tight, the cotton may detach.I find them great to use within the limitation on very tight fit/cotton detachment.

Great product. Costs a little more than Q-tips or the cheap medical supply swab but so much better. I've had troubles with the stems breaking on cheap swabs and this just set a new standard for me. Like any swab, the cotton tip does tend to unravel, and depending on technique, has the potential to leave behind lint. But the fact that the stems are sturdy allow for more pressure to clean surfaces without having to constantly grab a new swab.

I bought these with some skepticism, but they deserve the 5 stars. Lint will come off of them if you snag them on sharp edges (my Ruger 22/45 in particular has lots of micro-burrs), but they are quite a bit better than standard q-tips in that regard. They leave nothing behind when used for bore cleaning. They do an excellent job of cleaning the bore, and I have used them for the first pass of breach cleaning as well.I estimate that each one does as good a job cleaning as about 4 cleaning patches, but in a more convenient form factor. These clean in both directions, nothing on them is hard enough to scratch the gun, and they don't leave anything behind in the bore.

These are not flimsy and do not break with normal use, as some brands I’ve experienced have. Good product for the money and good length. Will buy again.
