20 yr telco lineman here...
These are by far my most favorite, and IMO the best diagonal cutters you can buy. 8” inch, thin gripped, straight head - with nearly indestructible jaws and one of the best cutting abilities just using the very tips of the jaw. (Think cutting cable ties that are already tightly fastened around something. You have to use the tip of the tool) The grips are also slightly textured - which is great when using them with wet hands or wet gloves. Great protective finish on them too. Hard pass on the fantastico jointed model. Those are only good for cutting very thin, very hard material. For general purpose those are not the ones you want. Ive bought, and used all the big names. Klein, NWS, Channelock, Jonard, Crescent, ect, ect, ect. THESE are the 8” diagonal cutters you want. Can’t say enough good things about them. Same with their lineman pliers. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes.. Fine German tools at their best.Full discloser - mine were purchased a few years ago, not from amazon. They are exactly the same model number as advertised here, (see pics) but several years old now (they were new in the pictures). So if there is any slight cosmetic difference from what you receive, thats why.
