OEM quality and fit!
Good quality OEM cable that fits the application perfectly. I tend to recommend OEM cables as they fit properly, often have the correct hold downs or mounting points on them, and you know that they are the proper gauge and connection ends on them as opposed to a universal cable. As more vehicles are adding complex computer, anti everything sensors- lane departure, automatic braking, automatic cruise, etc., these devices do require a constant and consistent electrical feed and grounds. Changing the cables with the wrong ratings could affect these systems as the voltage drops or capacity of the replacement cables could introduce intermittent or inconsistent voltage readings which could certainly affect the performance of some systems. An excessively high resistance for example in a ground cable could very well cause computer problems with any number of vehicle systems. This cable is for a full size Chevy, which solved many issues with not only starting, but a whole bunch of subsystems, including ABS, traction control, door locks, etc. They all went crazy while driving, as the original cable had excessive corrosion and a very high resistance within the cable that you could not see. If you have a Tahoe, Suburban or Silverado that has electrical issues- dead battery, abs/traction lights, transmission shifting problems, door locks that seem to cycle for no reason, gauges going nuts, etc., -this might be your problem! Simply change your cables! This is know problem with many of these vehicles as the cables rot from inside, causing intermittent ground and excessive resistance, especially in snow country where road salt is utilized. If you have the dreaded no start, then other times it starts right up, dead battery on some occasions then fine on other, check and replace the cables. Since replacing, I have not had one issue with electrical systems, all warning lights are gone, and truck runs like new again. When it comes to electrical components, go with OEM parts as they are the right part that you know will function as designed. As more of these components are sourced overseas, the quality of many of these replacement parts has gone down. The OEM parts are spec'd by GM and even if made overseas, they have to meet the OEM specs to be branded as such. I recommend the OEM cables, even if they are a few dollars more. Good luck. Also there is a current sensor (small round device with plug on it) which is located on the ground cable on these vehicles-this OEM cable comes with a new one on it. Many of the aftermarket cables do not. Good luck.

Truck was having starting issues which I thought was a dead battery. Ended up moving around my old wire one day when truck wouldn’t start. Lights came on and it started. Bad ground. Common issue. Replace with this and haven’t had an issue since. 5 stars. OEM build. And direct fit. Easy install. Value for your money

Fixed phantom electrical issues for my 2012 tahoe (this is for a 1 battery setup!!)
I was having the phantom crazy electrical problems like a lot of other people have, in my 2012 tahoe LS. With 1 battery (this is a 1 battery cable)... I was very skeptical about the whole “bad ground cable...”but was desperate, since losing power/trans throwing into neutral while pulling out across 3 lanes is a good way to get killed.... This actually fixed it. Very surprised, it’s been over 2 months of daily abusive driving and it’s been great... My one recommendation, when you unbolt the grounds from the engine block and then the one on the bottom of the frame, Heavily file the entire area, then put dielectric grease on the bare metal before you bolt the cables back on. The issues could totally have been a bad connection but it didn’t look like it, i filed it just because.. I think the bad connection could be inside the plug that GM uses for all the module grounds, a tiny bit of corrosion will make everything go haywire. Leave it up to GM to have a design like that. Either way, it’s been 2 months and it’s been fixed.

Built better than the original 2008 version
What can I say? It is the ground cable with negative battery terminal for most 2007-2013 fullsize GM trucks. If like me and many others, you'd occasionally lose all power at random, or worse, this may do the trick for you. In my case, I blamed a bad new battery initially since my charging indicator gauge had been showing it'd been charging like crazy without adjusting or going into low charge eco mode for days on end. After it lost all power, when I went to clamp the battery charger lead on to the neg. battery terminal, the alarm went off since I unlocked the door before restoring power! Battery was not the issue. It seemed due to cold weather, it happened a few more times, each time the truck powered on from the smallest wiggle of the negative batt. terminal. It has been one month and no issues as of yet after replacement. I am planning on also replacing the positive cable, and starter solenoid cable as well eventually. But as of now, it is charging with normal behavior, driving and being reliable as ever again.Installation- fairly straightforward since you can see where your current one goes to. It is a bit tricky since it goes up front near or under the radiator it looks like. Obviously GM did that for a reason, but I improvised and ran the narrow end to another grounding point. Maybe someday I'll make it right, but for now it works great. Price is pretty fair too I think, 5 stars

Decent install, good quality
Great quality, oem cable. Glad to be able to receive it faster from Amazon. Took about an hour to install. Kind of a pain to get the body ground reinstalled, but happy to have a new ground cable on that I know isn’t corroded on the inside!
