Would this be suitable for a 35lb, 40in 3.5 year old?

YES! It is 3.5 are able to sit up right knowing your own child is best a child that fiddles with seat belts isnt a good fit for this kind of carseat. My kid did just fine at 3she does not get out of she seat unless instructed to and cannot get out with out help cuz of the hooks/lap belt guides.

I see that all regulatory approvals (except Australia) were expected by end of 2019. Did you get all of those approvals?

Hi Yes hifold meets or exceeds all the relevant car seat safety standards including NHTSA FMVSS 213 for the US, UN ECE R44/04 for most countries, RSSR for Canada, CCC for China and various local versions for other markets. We are in the process of receiving regulatory approval in Australia.

It comes with isofix holder?

hifold is not designed for use with isofix.
