The LOW harmonica Lee Oskar is a GO harmonica!
This harmonica is well made and sounds great too. I own several LOW harmonicas: C, D, E, F. The Oskar Lows are right on. If you have not ever tried a low register diatonic harmonica, you are really missing a treat. You just can't beat the richness of the tone. You can still get the middle part of the regular harmonica on the high part of the LOW harmonica, so you can use the LOW for a lot of stuff, and you can play the regular and LOW together to give yourself a wider range of notes. And, by the way, Lee Oskar harmonicas in general are great in my experience.

Love the sound of it, very bassy and guitar-like
(update at the end)I only recently picked up the harmonica, but I fell in love with the Low C. I got as I'd been experiencing the apparently very common 2-draw problem on the C harmonica and had been searching around for video demonstrations. One of those videos had a Low C in and the sound captivated me. Up tempo enough to be jazzy, but not so high that it's no longer bluesy, and not so low that it sounds lazy and slow, at least to me.However, I do have issues with the harmonica that makes it difficult to play. The 4 and 5 draw is a major problem on the one I received, and I don't know if that's normal. The other draws are fine - but drawing on 4 with anything more than a weak inhalation (as opposed to drawing in the air) produces a discordant, almost bent note that doesn't happen with the other holes. I don't know if there's anything wrong with the reeds either.I also don't know how to bend notes yet, so I do not know if this is by design - an 'easy bend harmonica' - but I do hear how the 4 and 5 draw is SUPPOSED to sound. And I can only get that sound for, say my scales, when breathing in as lightly and as quietly as possible. Anything more than that and it would be impossible to play any lesson as the 4 draw in particular sticks out like a sore thumb.Besides that, the harmonica would be five stars. But I haven't seen any kind of help with this issue, so I don't know if it's normal, or if I got a faulty harmonica. And for the time being, I can't in good judgement spend another $50 on something that will perform just the same.UPDATE:After much deliberation, I had to get a refund for the harmonica as the poor quality on the 4 and 5 draw was just too much to overlook. Even to others who don't know about harmonicas, the sound was clearly off. I tried constantly to rectify this issue but it seems I just got a bad harmonica, or maybe I somehow blew a reed despite being new to the instrument? However, my praise of everything but the 4 and 5 draw remains. It was a wonderful and relaxing sounding harmonica, and I wish that I could have kept it. For now I will look to other models for comparison's sake, as I quite love the low c key most of all.

sounds like melted butter
The sound is amazing. exactly what I was looking for. I am new to Harmonica but I don't care for and have not found a lot of use in the top end of a regular tuned harmonica. By the way the tuning was spot on. I have some fenders and the tuning is a little off in the mid region. Will be buying more Lee Oskars!

Quite a good sound
I have 6 harmonicas and find I prefer this one. The low C is mellow and soothing, but not too deep. I don't have any trouble with bends, even though I have been practicing for only this past week. The Lee Oscar are not as comfortable for me to hold as Seydel harmonicas, but I'm getting used to it.

Definitely fun to play!
I'm a novice player. I have a bunch of other harmonicas, from real cheap ones that are difficult to play, to some good Marine Band harps that sound great. This Low-C harmonica is as good a quality as any of the Marine Band harps, and fun to play. I love the lower register sound. If you're a player then you won't be disappointed with this one!

Low pitched but great sound
This harp came out of the box, ready to play. Change in pitch and effort to play catches you off guard, but you quickly get used to it. Glad I started with C's key to get me into using it as part of my practice rotation. Be going for the full set after Christmas. Not for beginners, but ok for intermediate and advanced players.

Excellent
Bought to replace a Low C that was played so much over the years, a second was needed for that unique sound quality.

Ottima armonica

Lovely rich sound
This harmonica is a delight to play. Very smooth. Some of my higher octave harmonicas sound like I'm communicating with the bats when I play holes above 7. I now actually have a harmonica where I can play all the notes without the squeeling high notes. The deep low notes are wonderful for chugging too. The whole harmonica continues to vibrate after you've blown them. Just great fun to play.
