Well made and easily adjusted. Compact enough to place in compartment in the boat, but extends enough to be of use when docking.

Great for the price but not for salt water use fantastic for the first month but after that the pivot pin for the plastic latches rusted and locked up hard as to not allow locking or unlocking 50 cents more for the manufacturer to use a stainless steel steel pin and this thing would be perfect was my favorite boat hook too bad !

Used this about 30 times since purchase. Pros: extends quit long compared to my other west marine versions Quickly adjusts to length and never gets stuck due to someone over twisting it. Sturdy, well built feel in hand. Use it mostly to pull the mooring chain aboard when tying up. Cons: a little heavier due to it having a third telescoping pole inside vs two on the standard versions. Doesn’t float like other more expensive ones Dark color makes it harder to locate at night (put some retro reflective tape on it to fix) Overall this has become my go to when reaching for a boat hook.

Do not buy for the following reasons: 1. I bought 3 of these. 1st purchase came with a pole and a boat hook. I bought a 2nd one because the 1st POLE BENT. For the 2nd purchase, I only received a pole without a boat hook. I told the seller I didn’t get a boat hook and the seller said to return it. I didn’t return it because I needed it at that time so I bought a 3rd one with the same result…NO BOAT HOOK….AGAIN. I sent a message to seller and the seller did not respond. 2. Due to POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I seeked another product which was a blessing. FOR $8 MORE BUY DOBEN CARBON FIBER BOAT HOOK ($50.99 as of 11/13/25) INSTEAD OF EVERSPROUT! 3. Doben will provide a boat hook vs. Eversprout does not provide a boat hook. 4. Doben is stronger/stiffer material with carbide pole vs. Eversprout is weaker/bendable material with aluminum pole. 5. Doben is lighter vs. Eversprout is heavier. 6. Doben provides a protective cover when not in use vs. Eversprout does not provide a protective cover. 7. Doben more compact where it extends from 3.5’ to 12’ vs. Eversprout extends from 4.5’ to 12’. 8. I don’t expect to use this but Doben comes with a 1-year replacement service vs. Eversprout does not have a replacement service which I expect to use for the reasons stated above. BUY DOBEN AND DO NOT BUY EVERSPROUT!!!

Exactly what I needed. I use it for knocking dead branches out of my trees and retrieving my stuck fishing lures. Seems durable for what I need.

Nice hook for pontoon boat. First order didn't have the hook included so I returned that one and they sent another package that did have the hook with it.
