Great Product - Easy Way Out!
These face plates are definitely the easy way out and I'm all about that. We recently replaced two OLD thermostats with Honeywell programmable versions but ran into a little issue since the old ones were HUGE and the new ones were much smaller. We were left with big unpainted squares around the mounting boxes that had been drilled and anchored by the home builders who apparently took the easy way out.I was NOT looking forward to trying to match the existing wall paint and patching the big anchor holes then I came across these.. they look awesome under the thermostats and were very easy to install... gives the whole job a very professional look.PRO TIP: Read the instructions guys... I skipped them thinking how hard can it be? You put the screws through the holes and screw them in.. well these really only fit one way and depending upon your mounting method you may or may not need the metal spacer... for my upstairs thermostat I didn't read that and ended up with it not quite flush with the wall... decided to read the instructions for downstairs and it looks better. The difference isn't really enough for me to take the whole thing apart again but it would have been a better job if I would have paid more attention to start.

Fits my TH6320WF1005
It's a coverplate that covers any existing holes or paint-voids in your wall that was created by your previous thermostat. Worked for my Honeywell TH6320WF1005 Wi-Fi Focus PRO 6000. Not sure why it comes in a pack of two though, they should really split it into two different items by size and you can buy the one size you need (and lower the cost). Now I have a leftover coverplate that I don't know what to do with.

A perfect solution to a nagging problem
Just what we needed. I had three thermostats prior to the latest installation, so there were numerous holes in the wall, plus mismatched paint where someone painted around the original thermostat. This pack came with two wall plates, plus a metal mounting plate (for attaching to an electrical box) plus screws that I never needed. In fact, the smaller sized wall plate fit perfectly, and used pre-existing holes, and covered everything else. I didn’t need the larger sized plate, but it would have been needed had I needed to cover other imperfections on the wall.

Works great with Honeywell WiFi Smart Thermostat RTH9580WF
Package contains the medium size cover plate (6 7/8" wide by 5" tall) and the large size cover plate (8 5/16" wide by 6" tall). If needed, package includes a metal bracket to attach cover plate to an electrical box regardless if the box was installed vertical or horizontal. I just had a hole poked into the wall so I did not need the attachment and just used the wall anchors that came with my new Honeywell WiFi Smart Thermostat RTH9580WF. The screws go through the base of the new thermostat and through the cover plate to hold everything in place. The base of the new medium plate covered up my 17 year old Trane thermostat foot print (was painted around years ago) since it was vertical and not horizontal like the new one. Fantastic!! Did not leave an eye soar or a request from my wife to repaint the room! And yes, I needed assistance from my furnace repair contractor to connect the C wire (Common or 5th wire) to my 17 year old Goodman GMPN100-4 REV B furnace from my new thermostat to provide 24 volt power to my new WiFi thermostat since the old Trane thermostat only used four wires and did not need the C wire. That resulted in another Internet search to find answers to that issue. Nothing is easy anymore.

Sturdy plastic
Perfect backing plate for most rectangular thermostats. Rounded corners adds a clean look. Back has reinforcement ribs so you will not crack the plate during installation.

Covers up the mess but will cost you $14 bucks.
3 stars cuz it works but costs $14 bucks!! Easier than fixing drywall & paint. But just 2 pieces of flat plastic & maybe cost .50 cents to produce in any 3rd world country. (Just minimum quality) Maybe this is an example of capitalism gone wrong & explains some of those Wall Street protestors. (But I am over it already.) For the cost maybe it should be an inch thick, insulated, reversible in 2 colors, have LED backlighting, faux wood grain, etc. (Maybe not over it yet.)

Works well on 2000 series models also.
Needed one to cover up from where a bigger thermostat was installed before and there was no paint. This did the job perfectly after contacting honeywell for the correct part #. My thermostat was the TH2210 which is the 2000 series by Honeywell. The listing description here says it works for 3000 4000 and 5000 but I can attest it works for the smaller 2000. The package comes with 2 sizes of plates - a medium and a large. I used the medium and I think it looks great.
