Learning Resources Ruff's House Teaching Tactile Set, Fine Motor Toy, 30 Pieces, Ages 3+

Great for open ended play as well as sensoral learning. My kids love to use the dog house and bones with the rest of their toys. I see my 4 yr old and 2 yr old play with this set at least 3 times a day. We've had it for a month now. The only critique I have is that the dog is not the size I expected it to be. The bone are the same length as the dog. I just wished it was a tad larger to be proportional to the dog house door. However I think it may be best because it is the perfect size for small hands.

Learning Resources has done it again with a super cute and fun tactile experience for young kids. The bone shapes are large and durable and the house is well made. The children love the tiny stuffed puppy, and we find ways to use him for all sorts of games. I used this as an extension to a nursery rhyme unit which the children LOVED!!! It has a lot of play value, color matching, texture matching, dramatic play and hide and seek feature.

This is such a cute little toy! I bought it for my 2 little ones (ASD) because I thought they would enjoy al oh the different textures of the little bones. It is fun for them to put them in and take them out.

Wonderful learning tool!The plastic pieces are well constructed, and the fabric bones seem to be sewn well. The bones are small, though they are perfect for small hands. Plastic textures include bumpy, smooth, rough, spiky, and grooved. The fabric textures include fluffy, woven, silky, furry, and ridged. The dog is very small, only slightly larger than the bones.The black, plastic doorway (four flaps) fold permanently inward after continued use. When all the pieces are in the doghouse, they can be slightly hard to retrieve, as the doghouse is quite full.The toy comes with a booklet with several activity ideas.

Super cute and fun sensory matching game. Even my one year old loves to just pull out the dog bones for texture. Supervised only. I don’t think the bones are super small but better safe than sorry.

My 18 month old loves this toy. We just opened it and he’s been putting his hand in the house (gently) And pulling out the bones and it already seems like the rubber closure that you put your hand through is weakening. It keeps popping out and is almost ripped already. It might effect the surprise effect of the toy. Little disappointing for the price.

This toy is so great! I like that it allows my grandson to experience the feel of different textures! Also the little dog house helps him understand that the bones included are still there even if he can’t see them! This is his second set of these toys due to the first set being lost in the family move! I recommend purchasing this toy for a toddler!

Great set, well made. Bought for preschool students. They come up with many different ways to use the set.

Excelente juego didactico para fomentar la coordinacion y memoria sensitiva en los niños, los materiales son buenos y es llamativo. Totalmente recomendable.

Bought for my 5 year old son as a birthday present. He is autistic and really enjoys feeling all the different textures. Seems to be a hit with other children who come to visit also.
