Does this filter out background noise? I have the Antlion Modmic and it picks up every little annoying sound in the background.

Its not awful actually. Its sensitive for sure, and picks up wind from fans and the like, but it has a pickup pattern that helps filter out noise from the sides and back of the mic. Its not perfect without some extra processing for noise reduction, but its sound quality is awesome for the price.

How is the speech clarity? Does the mic make it boomy or bass-y?

I haven't heard or seen complaints on my end, the only issues I've seen were caused on my end

What headphones does this work with?

It uses adhesive to attach a connector to the outside of the headphones, then the microphone attaches to the connector. I'd say it should work with any closed-back headphones. I use this with the ATH-M50's.
