First of all these are not a super soft rubber or foam material - they a firm rubber. My point is you can still end up getting some knots and bruises but not to the extent of wood or metal chucks. It's not a bad thing but if you're looking for a completely beginner pair these could be a little too hard.That being said these are great quality for the price.

I ended up taking three of the chains links out. I was a little hesitant to buy them because the picture had them bent in a a u-shape so I wasn't sure how sturdy they were. They stay straight unless you put an unreasonable amount of pressure on them. Other than taking out a few of the links, the other issue I had with them is that they are a bit heavier than I'm used to. Overall they will made. They give you the weight of a high quality nunchuck but still give you the protection from harming yourself similar to foam.

I like these noonchucks, i expected the rubber handles to be a little more softer. But other than that, they're cool to act like Bruce Lee, lol

Had bought a previous pair of trainer chucks but they wouldn't stand up to the blows when hitting heavy bag. These definitely will but they are very heavy and you could seriously injure yourself or do damage to property. With that said I've had them for almost a year now and they have not broken. The chain was a little long which is actually a good thing if you have bigger hands better to be able to cut it down than to have to add a chain link fairly simple to shorten chain just pop the pin out with a center punch. Would definitely buy again

Too heavy for casual practice. I am concern that it may damage furniture if I am not careful. And since it is rubber it is not really lethal enough as a self-defense weapon.

Just got these for my 9yr old son and 15yr old daughter. They absolutely love them, I struggled for a while trying to find something that would pull them away from their electronic devices all day... Who knew nunchucks was the answer. Hah! The construction is really high quality from the shaft with thick foam covering to the solid chain with full rotating bearing for free range of motion these nunchucks have the perfect weight and are perfect for any up and coming martial arts enthusiast.

The one thing I would feel was my responsibility to mention is that these ae NOT TOYS .. they are like rubber bullets. You could use these as non-lethal weapons
