I bought a four-pack of these Etekcity lanterns years ago and I love them. In fact I returned here today to purchase some more of them for a couple of my relatives. I have used mine for power outages due to severe winter weather and thunderstorms and these lights performed beautifully and illuminated the entire downstairs. One of my neighbors actually came over and asked if my electricity had somehow been restored and of course I said no, and that I have these awesome lanterns that throw a surprisingly amount of nice white light. He thought I had somehow had my power restored or that maybe I had a generator running because my downstairs looked so bright. He was so impressed that he ordered a four-pack of them too. I particularly like that the hue of these lanterns is a "cool white" which is a very white light; not that awful yellowish tint which I cannot stand. These are a nice white light similar to a fluorescent light. I'm pleased that these little lanterns throw a lot of white light. And the batteries will last quite a while too. I ran one of mine as a test for close to 50 hours non stop to see how long the batteries would last. I have Eneloop high capacity rechargeable batteries installed in mine and it works out very well as those are a very low self discharge type of battery and they hold their charge extremely well. LED's don't use a lot of "juice" so you'll get a lot of bang for your buck with these lanterns. You certainly cannot beat the price of them. We got these for our camper. They have worked our perfectly. Bright and exactly what we wanted. Great size not to big not to small. Batteries seem to last a decent amount of time. Very lightweight and durable.

These are convenient, bright, easy to use. I bought them for a possible outage but have been using the whenever I need bright light in a dim area. I do not keep the batteries installed, but place them only when in use. These are great little lanterns to have when needed!

Love these emergency/camping lanterns. they're very bright. I already owned two previous to purchasing these new set of four. However, ALL of the batteries in all four lanterns arrived dead. I had to replace all of them. AA's 3 each lantern. Not cool!

These are pretty cool. Heavy duty. Very compact but super powerful. They will be perfect in the RV! Great value!

I purchased these at the end of 2024 for our emergency kit, and this week they truly proved their value during a power outage. In the middle of cooking dinner, the power went out for about 1,500 homes. These lanterns completely saved the night. Because of them, we were able to continue cooking, play games, and even read books and magazines without any issues. They are battery operated, lightweight, and small in size, yet surprisingly powerful. They’re easy to carry or hang and provide much better visibility than candles. Whether you’re camping or preparing for emergencies, these lanterns are an excellent choice—affordable, bright, versatile, easy to use.

These put out a lot of light. Perfect for emergency backup lighting. We lose power a few times a year, and the windowless bathrooms are always a problem. Putting one of these on the counter can light up the room quite well. They work as advertised. To be clear, it's a lantern design, not a flashlight. It's meant to light an area, and does not have a beam feature. I was pleasantly surprised that the lights actually came WITH batteries installed! Pulling a little insulating strip in the battery compartment made them work.

I bought these for my elderly parents in law during a power cut when they lost light, heating and cooking. Candles were too much of a fire hazard. Hopefully when they have another power cut these will help light each room. They have a compartment in the top to store the batteries when not needed which is very helpful and they close down to a very manageable size to store. They are metal and not plastic and so feel sturdy when unscrewing the battery compartment etc. I liked them so much I have ordered some for myself and now my mother wants some too.

Loved the effectiveness of each light - variability in light produced, size and battery operation. Would consider for gift giving.
