Received the wrong Item i.e. "BUNDLE" regarding other order for RF Explorer 6G. So I returned the device and have no evaluation to advance to you. Returning the SIG GEN TOO.Decided to go with a FLUKE. The RF Explorers run rings around the Fluke and the RF Explorer is a far greater of measure value alluding to the cost. The reason I am going FLUKE is because I needed this thing very badly for a huge install. The delivery was fast but the wrong BUNDLE blew my time table. One STAR for delivering what is advertised. Mine came without the Advertised Touchstone Software license or CD.I have to say Nuts about Networks is a fantastic outfit. 5 STARS is an understatement concerning the mission statement Nuts About Networks demonstrates.

On the pro side, it's very well shielded, a pleasant surprise for something so inexpensive (another major plus). This allows using it as a weak signal source without the signal being overwhelmed by radiation directly from the unit.On the con side, the spectral purity is very poor, particularly harmonic content. Also, the SMA connector was loose when it arrived.But it's definitely a useful tool and a bargain at the price.

It does what it says...it generates signals. I tried using it along with the RF Explorer Spectrum Analyzer to make a Frequency Tracking Generator in order to tune up some bandpass cavities. What a disaster. It got me within the ballpark, but, in the end, it took a watt meter and a dummy load for me to peak them. So, if you think these devices are a solid alternative to an expensive service monitor, think again. Service monitors are expensive for a reason. These things are cheap for a reason. Lesson learned.

USB didn't work, connection failed. Firmware was useless, not of the options were available, the options are there but you cannot use them.

Ok, so it's not a $5,000 signal generator. But it works! Puts out a nice signal and not extremely difficult to figure out. Excellent tool to have when you don't need to haul out the expensive gear. Metal case, great battery life, and a small package. I bought one along with the Spec An unit and I am very pleased. Wished I had these a few years ago when I couldn't afford to spend $50,000 for the industry standard.

For the money, you can't beat it. Easy to use and does the job.

It is functional, after you fiddle with it for a while. The user interface is not obvious ("frequency sweep" is the way to get it to put out a CW). It was missing the antenna they claim to include. Also the PC software is completely hopeless and crashes. Seems like a kickstarter type project. It could be a nice product if it were polished up.

本体のUI操作では周波数と出力レベルの頻繁な変更は困難なので、"RF Explorer Signal Generator Tool"をPCにインストールし、周波数と出力レベルをPC上で操作できました。アンテナからの無変調キャリア出力をアンテナで受信しスペアナで測定するアプリでは、持ち運びが容易な小型、軽量はもとより、DCアダプタ不良のUSB電源、操作性の良いPC制御、本体の安定な動作が求められ、本機は今後実用に使用の予定です。"RF Explorer Signal Generator Tool"のダウンロード元が不明で、PC制御が使えませんでしたが、代理店の対応にて解決しました。　1GHz出力時の10MHzスパンのスペアナ波形でスプリアスをの通り、周波数と出力レベルの安定性と直線性はこの価格帯では最高クラス。　。
