This will make your phone like new
The full assembly is the way to repair the phone. Be very careful the ribbons must be disconnected by lifting the little black clamps that are like rockers attached to the white base. These break and HTC one should be ashamed of itself for making the most common repair the most difficult. You should consider springing for the back cover too as you will damage it trying to remove it no matter how well you heat the phone to soften the adhesives or how carefully you try to pry it apart. Although I must say it is easier to open the phone with these micro damages. As I had to repeatedly to get the ribbons to make the proper connections after the little plastic clamps broke when trying to remove the ribbons. They lift like rockers and need to be gently rocked up with a tool from the outside of the phone upwards. One is on each side, the shorter one on the left is for the LCD, and the longer one on the right is for the touch screen.

Works for bit, but didn't last past a few months.
I bought this months ago and yes, the installation was not easy but the product worked great as a replacement until recently. The top 1/2 inch of the display no longer responds to touch gestures. It also has an issue with the keyboard keys "k, l" and "n,m", as those are also dead spots that don't respond to touch when held in the upright position. So I basically have to use it mostly in landscape mode when I have to type in things for searching or when using the web browser.I think it is good to use it as a quick replacement, but it isn't meant to last; The 30 day warranty should have been a good indication of the quality here. I perform hardware repairs on flagship smartphones and this was a cheap that included the top speaker grill, so replacement was easier once you can get inside the case.

Everything had a perfect fit, and the display looked perfect
Everything had a perfect fit, and the display looked perfect. First problem was that the adhesive for the buttons wasn't protected and attached itself to the bubble wrap for shipping, redering it useless. Which didn't effect the functionality of the outer buttons in the end though. The Major problem was that the included SIM card reader could not find any SIM card loaded into it. I tested my old reader from the original phone, and it still worked perfectly, the problem is, this reader is installed UNDER the glass behind a padding and two layers of adhesive... because I didn't have the adhesive and didn't want to risk breaking the new glass, I was forced to replace the entire model.

It definitely wasn't an easy job, but with some help from youtube tutorials ...
Replacement screen came with all tools necessary to replace the screen. It definitely wasn't an easy job, but with some help from youtube tutorials it is very possible. The screen clearly is not OEM. However, it gets the job done. Color on screen are true and accurate. Touch response works flawlessly. There is some light bleeding near the edge of the screen and near the bottom home and back buttons. For the price it is a solid replacement screen.

If your daring enough
Let me just right out and say it, don't fix your HTC One M7 unless you have phone repairing experience. Even just a little experience, if you follow a tutorial video frame by frame and spend at least 2 or 3 hours with the process you should be fine. This phone is entirely impossible to replace the screen without also destroying the back cover so invest in that as well.As for this screen replacement part, it is perfect. Not a single bad pixel on the screen and looks entirely original with superb LCD quality. What scared me off at first was the missing "HTC" logo in between the back button and home button on the screen, but to a relief it was on the actual product when I received it.

Lower quality screen than the original, but cheap and a good fit.
Nice fit and finish, but the LCD is clearly lower quality than the cracked one I bought it to replace. Blues appear darker and blacks appear greyer. It's got a stuck pixel (which I hate), the picture distorts with finger pressure more easily and when I tilt the phone up I can see the white backlights shining at the top of the screen under the case housing. It's a 3rd rate panel on a device that came with a 1st rate screen, so the difference is notable.Still, it fits well and it's functional, so while I don't recommend it, I can't say it's the worst aftermarket electrical component that I've ever bought.

Had Promise But Failed
So I never did a screen repair but I work in IT so I figured I got this. Saw several youtube videos and looked pretty doable. Was able to disconnect everything from originally broken housing. But unfortunately like many people may have said as soon as i got the back installed the front display corner starting coming out and to make it worst the sprint sim card is not being recognized. This display had promise but for me failed. Hopefully it will hold out for another two months until I can upgrade. Disappointed customer.

Kit is good, process is really really not easy
Kit is good, process is really really not easy, got done. Display was crystal clear messed up the speakers somehow though. Make sure you're more careful than I was.
