Perfect choice for beginners or refreshers
The authors offer fundamentals that are necessary to start or improve your programming skill set. I come from an industry that is not technical (arts) but I've been considering a career change lately, so I purchased this book. I have been listening for two weeks and I have successfully coded using CSS! I have a webpage designed and will attempt a javascript project next.I am grateful for this book, it's like having a patient and knowledgeable mentor available to take you step by step.

Great book for learning python
I have some experience with Python but it's been a number of years since I've last coded in the language. I was recommended this book and it is absolutely great! Not only was I able to get back up to speed with Python, but I've learned a lot of helpful advanced techniques as well. This course is great for getting comfortable with Javascript and resharpening Python and SQL knowledge. I highly recommend it.

Must be something better than this
I purchased this book hoping to get help in understanding how the different languages/scripts it deals with work together to produce a web page. Unfortunately, the languages/scripts are discussed in different chapters with almost no information about how they relate to each other. The early chapters on Python are not bad - in fact the section on object oriented programming was quite helpful. However the later chapters, on JavaScript, HTML, etc are very poor. They were thrown together without proper editing (examples are discussed but not shown in several places) and are too short and cursory to give any understanding of the concepts they mention. I'm sure there must be better sources for learning about these programming techniques.

More Python than 5 in 1
Some of the print is very hard to read and 141 pages out of 206 pages are taken up with Python 68.45% of the book. Does anyone know what program is used for typing code in JavaScript section?? Very unclear. Leaves a lot to be desired.
