I saw a ton of reviews saying the prongs bend over easily and rendered the tool useless. My buddies have similar tools that had the same thing happen too so I was worried. But this tool works perfectly fine and for the price point you can’t go wrong. Just make sure you keep pressure on it while turning it so it stays seated and you won’t have a problem. Also you don’t need a socket wrench. My Scotty had factory installed weights that were locked in. I thought I needed one at first because mine would not brudge at all with a hand turn. However, then I cleaned around them with a brush and made sure to really heat the putter up with HOT water. After that, I turned them by hand no problem and my prongs havnt bent at all. Hope this helps.

Works great, when you lay the putter on the floor so it doesn’t move. Hold the tool close to the putter so the pins don’t bend. Works great! Recommend it.

Great alternative to the SC tool. Definitely need a 3/8 ratchet to loosen the factory weights. The prongs fit perfectly into the factory weights. Be careful if it slips, one prong slightly bent. It didn’t bend enough to make it useless, but it bent. I also had to use a 1/4 impact driver with a 3/8 socket adapter for one of the factory weights. It was really in there. A couple blips with this tool and it was loose! After market weights prong holes are not as deep. The tool did not bottom out, but as long as you only hand tighten, it’s fine. Not sure if it would remove aftermarket weights if they are secured with loctite.

I went to a few different golf stores and they weren’t able to remove the weights! This tool was able to remove them!! I highly recommend it if your weights are difficult to remove…

This thing sucks. Socket isn’t made to the correct tolerance so it just falls off if you don’t keep a finger on it. Which defeats the purpose of this tool and prevents you from using the leverage of the ratchet. Cheaply made and overpriced.

I was very nervous trying to find an alternative to the Scotty Cameron wrench that you cannot find in stock anywhere. This wrench fit a little loose in the holes, but after watching a video holding the putter down flat on carpet I felt ok giving it a go. This tool worked perfectly on my Newport 2+. I attached the tool to my socket wrench, held the tool flush to the putter, and a slight push quickly broke the weights free with almost zero effort. Glad I made the purchase and saved a ton of money over what people are asking for the authentic Scotty Cameron tool.

Great item. I bought it because it was the cheapest one but it turns out its the best one. You can fit a 3/8 ratchet or bar. All those people that bent the prongs just didnt use it properly. You would buy the 50$ scotty cameron one and get the same result. I had a 2010 Squareback 1 with with old generation weights that had never been removed. You need to heat the putter (I left it in hot water for 10-15 mins) I dont recommend a torch because those weights have rubber gaskets in them. Press the tool firmly on the putter while unscrewing, otherwise the prongs will slip and bend or scratch your putter. Its the design thats flawed, not the tool.
