Iconic and old fashioned design that exudes solidity. Great quality flask that keeps hot for a very long time. Good solid construction with a sturdy handle so should last for years. It's not light weight. So far no hint of a leak and no "new" taste. It pours well and fills easily. I put it in the sink to fill, so that the kettle isn't up near my face - it is tall. Expensive, but should last decades, so on that basis it good value

I bought this Stanley Classic Legendary Thermal Flask (0.75L) as a gift for a lorry driver, and he was absolutely thrilled with it! Excellent flask.. just what i was looking for , a large 1.9 ltr supply for hot drinks on cold days out.. I decided to test it so i wouldn't be cought out in need of a warm drink on my first outing. I primed the flask with boiling water, then filled it and waited. After 31 hours the water was still so hot that i could only sip it one mouthful at a time... after 42 hours it was still hot enough not to gulped down... after many years of outdoor adventuring i have to say i'm amazed and this ' updated classic ' is truley superior to my expectations ( which is very refreshing in this world od hype )...p.s -- the updated version has a different neck designe and the handle folds from side to side.

Brilliant flask. I really underestimated this as I've only ever had cheap ones in the past that claim 12hrs warm but lucky if they actually last 2. Anyway I received this flask on Friday and I filled it up with boiling water at 8:30pm. 24 hours later I checked it, by dipping my finger in to feel the water, it was still boiling hot like it was fresh out the kettle. Checked it again yesterday, and still burnt my finger. Today I have emptied it as I didnt want the water sitting in there too long and even today (67 hours after) when I poured the water i to the sink it was still very very warm. I haven't yet tried cold, or ice, but I have huge confidence in it. Awesome flask. Looks the part too, the camo pattern is great. Really happy with this purchase.

I tested this out and it works nicely. Put boiling hot water at 9pm last night, took it out at 9am this morning and it was still steaming hot. Went from boiling, to just the right temp (hot but no risk of burn). For most people and most purposes, this works perfectly fine. However I will say that the design is VERY INEFFICIENT and results in significant avoidable heat loss. It has a wide mouth and the metal below the cap gets very warm. By contrast, I used to have a thermos ultimate flask which kept things amazingly warm even 24 hours later. Why? Because it had a very small mouth and virtually no heat loss below the cap. If you need serious long-lasting insulation go with the ultimate flask. If you want an easy to clean design that will keep your drinks very warm long enough, this is fine.

This is great to take coffee on the go. I use it for the office and trips out. Stays piping hot. Goes in the dishwasher too.

We carried out some tests with this and boiling water, in order to see how long the water stayed hot enough to make a proper cup of tea. 10 hours. Still steaming, way too hot to put to your lips 18 hours. Still steaming, still way too hot to put to your lips 26 hours. No longer steaming, but still hot enough to make a really good cup of tea (without milk) What absolutely fantastic heat retention. NO other insulated flask I've ever had has had this level of insulation and craftmanship. I invested in two of the flasks and a food flask, and am glad I did, they're brilliant. My parents had a green hammertone Stanley wide mouthed food flask, bought in the late 50s. My brother has it now, and he tells me it works as well as it ever did. That's got to be some kind of endorsement don't you think? Excellent purchases (especially on Prime Deal Days) I would highly recommend to anyone. Other flasks are available, but they just can't hold a candle to the Stanley brand.

Having had one of these for a number of years, I recently bought another as a gift for a family member. He was really pleased with the quality and colour and I’ve no doubt that it will serve him just as well as mine has served me (it fell of Snowdon once and was fine). I use it for coffee while hiking and find it keeps the drink hot for the whole day. I prefer these types of flasks over the ones with a little button in that you press to pour because they are much easier to clean and less likely to break. I also like that they come with a cup as even though it’s small it means you don’t have to carry a mug with you (unless you want to share your brew, pah!). Well worth the money in my opinion as you simply won’t have to buy another flask ever.

i tried it on UAE weather and its perfect for it , the ice stays ice for 3 day in a hot weather on car , i surprised,, and about hot water it stay hot after put it inside it and put the flask inside the freezer for 2 days
