There are others; this one's better
There are easily a dozen different Thai-style green curry products out there. I've tried many of them, and usually liked them. But THIS one tops them all for authenticity and nuance of flavor. I'm about to buy some more, for exactly that reason. Everyone who tastes it says, "Yes! That's it."

This stuff is great! It's pretty spicy
This stuff is great! It's pretty spicy, though, which I like, but it also limits how much flavor you can add from it bc it doesn't take much to crank up the heat. I wish it was just a tiny bit less hot so that more of the other flavors came through more.

Mae Anong Thai Green Curry Is Our Favorite!
We live and worked in the SF Bay Area for five decades, have home cooked and enjoyed Mae Anong Thai Green Curry (with tender chicken breast) for several years and this is our first review: In the late 1940s/early 1950s, I lived in Bangkok, Thailand and worked for a large British firm in my younger days, spoke Thai and enjoyed Thai food almost daily. I can presently testify that MAE ANONG Green Curry is my favorite brand with the right hot flavors not found in any San Francisco Thai restaurant!

Best one that I can find in local US market
There are so many brands of green curry but this one is best over all, it's not too spicy and salty. Let me seasoning it to my taste. Easy to cook and share with friend and family, everyone can enjoy. The paste that I bought from Thailand is more suitable for those that can stand the heat.

Repackaged item with no expiration date
I have purchased and used this brand of Thai curry paste for many years and know how it is packaged and the package I received has clearly been repackaged with copies of the original labeling loose inside a clear packet. Additionally, there is no expiration date on the package and there has always been a label attached with an expiration date. This is the third time I have bought this paste from this seller and I asked to return the item due to it not being in its original packaging and my belief the item was repackaged because it had passed its expiration date and have heard nothing from the seller of Amazon. I will never buy from this seller again and have thrown the paste away.

Not a Flavourful Thai paste.
This is NOT the taste of Thai curry paste. I am very disappointed. I bought two packs based on reviews and shipped them all the way to Trinidad, and they arrived very fast. However, I tried making a Red Thai curry dish and the taste was a disappointment. It did not have any flavor of Lemongrass and was just quite salty, not flavourful at all. I will not buy this again. Not tasty at all.

Pretty good
I've been searching for something better than the Mae Ploy Green (a solid 4 stars) and I think basicllay for a 5-star paste you have to make your own. Seems obvious- but who wants to grind their own lemongrass??This is okay- even with fresh ginger and lemongrass there was till something that lacked brightness to the curry. The Mae Anong Red is better, even thought my general preference is for green curry.

Green curry snobs say there just isn't a better brand unless it's homemade
My wife and I can't get enough of green Thai curry. We've been to every Thai restaurant within a 60 mile radius and make it a point to visit others whenever we're out of state. Most are "good", but the overall flavors are just variations of the Mae Ploy brand which you can find in virtually any Asian grocery store and here on Amazon.Several years we stumbled across a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Lompoc, California, near Santa Barbara that was different than any other green curry I'd ever had! The flavors were definitely green curry, but they were so much more complex and intense! I just couldn't get enough and ended up drinking from the bottom of my bowl and licking my fingers! When the owner came out to check on how we were enjoying the meal, I told her it was hands down the best I'd ever had and asked if she made the paste from scratch. She said no, then went in the back to retrieve this package - a brand I'd never seen or heard of before. She sold it to me for $10 and I've been buying only this stuff ever since! It's more difficult to find in the US, but it's worth every penny if you can find it. Just be sure to check the expiration date when you receive it. While the package has a two-year shelf life, the package we recently received had only three months left before it expired. We portion it out into tiny zip-lock bags (3"x3") and freeze them. Then when we want to have it for dinner, we just pull one of the packs from the freezer, mix it with oil (to temper the spiciness) and let it sit several hours before we make the curry.Try it! You won't be disappointed.
