Works perfectly. Bought this so I could go from stage 1 charging to stage 2! Now it only takes a few hours to charge. Easy to install and long charging cable.

Easy to install and easy to use
The media could not be loaded. Installation couldn't be easier. I quick-mounted a board in a convenient location with some wood screws. I then used the included template to figure out exactly where I wanted it and then drilled the holes. Unscrew the charger from the back plate, mount the plate with the included wood screws and then return the machine screws to their holes to lock the charger to the mounting plate. Plug it in. With someone to hold the charger up while I screwed in the machine screws, I was done in 40 minutes.Using this is super easy. Push the button on the front, plug the other end into the vehicle. You get a cool LED animation and a readout of the tech details if you need them. Sure, there's no advanced features like a mobile phone app, or tying in to your WiFi network but I don't need those things. Every EV I've encountered has a mobile app, so the vehicle will let you know when it's full. When you're done, disconnect then push the button to turn it off.Cords are very thick and flexible enough for most needs. The unit is surprisingly small, but has a heft to it. Everything fits together snugly and seems well made. There's a rubber cap on the end of the J1772 plug, if you're worried about water getting into the socket. For the price I paid, this unit is great.

Definitely value for money
Got this off Amazon as it was well priced over other Chinese sites.First thing I did was remove the US Power plug and Charge Cable and replaced the Charge Cable with a Type-2 that came with the car (Peugeot 208e GT) - Amazon don't sell these for outside-of-USA cables (Type-2 required for rest of the world).Installed this self and, although not an electrician, I am a clever chap. Had to swap out the main garage 32a circuit breaker for a 40a and add a dedicated circuit breaker for the charger.I had some concerns over this being completely water-proof so ended up using silicone to seal the main cover before mounting it outside (there is no rubber seal).Overall, pretty happy with the charge-rate and it performs as advertised and made a difference from 20-hours to charge (with car-supplied domestic charger) down to 2.5-hours (both roughly 150KM to 350KM full charge).Definitely recommend this product.

Looks Good but Does Not Work
We thought the Lectron 240V 40 Amp Level 2 Electric Charging Station, looks so good, so high-tech, and looks so well made. However, we were very wrong. We bought this charger and got delivery in May, then got delivery of our Model 3 Tesla in July. As we began charging everything seemed fine, as we only did short runs, only bringing the battery level to about 80%. However, once the battery level got to 60% or lower, after about 30 minutes or so there'll be a message on the charger display saying "waiting for signal. We contacted Tesla, and after a series of testing of the car, the power panel, and the NEMA outlet. It was discovered that the problem was the Lectron Charging Station. However, so much time had passed the return window expired. explaining everything to the Amazon rep, she still could only offer me a partial refund. This was very disappointing. Extremely easy to install, quadrupled charging speed without any configuration!
Packaging and instructions were excellent. Installation was a snap, and the charger recognized my vehicle's on-board charger immediately and began charging at the fastest capable rate without any changes or updates.Shopping for a new charger for my Porsche Plug-In E-Hybrid had been difficult. Most of the on-line product documentation does not explain the products and features well. This product documentation was one of the best available.Please verify your vehicle's on-board charger to make sure you can use the enhanced capability of this 40A charger. I got the faster on-board charger option when I ordered my car. 7.2 kW on-board charger will draw ~32A @240v.The included charger cable is 20' long. It would be better if there was a 25' option. The 20' will work as long as you mount the charger off-center for your vehicle on the side where the charger plugs in. Alternatively, you can pull you vehicle into the garage so that the car's charger port is closer to the charger.

Should be 25' long for outdoor connection
If I have known (and measured it first), I would have purchase a 25' length model for outdoor flexibility. So I backed up the car instead.Construction seems to be OK. Though the cord is thick, I've no problem closing my garage door overnight to take advantage of TOU. from our local utility for the best rate. Video installation was helpful.
