Best koi food on the market – Hands Down.
I'm an experienced koi keeper and I'm passionate about raising high quality koi. I can tell you absolutely, without any hesitation, this is hands-down the best line of koi food on the market. I feed the multi season most of the year, and I supplement with the color enhancing and growth in warmer months. I switched over from the regular line of Hikari foods (which are still better than anything else on the market), but I was completely amazed what this food, when fed regularly, did for my fish and overall water quality. If you are serious about your koi keeping, this si what you want. It is expensive, but you can absolutely see the results in your fish and water quality. (The fish go absolutely crazy for it as soon as it hits the water due to it's smell – which is a good thing by the way. I see some people complain about that, but it really isnt a big deal. It isn't about you, it's about what your fish like!)

The best
This food is just the right food. My fish would not eat any other food.

My koi LOVE this
Well, my fish give this 2 thumbs up. I "inherited" a koi pond when we bought a house. I started with the food the previous owner left, plus some extra small pellets for smaller fish, since the koi were pretty small at the time. Fed them that for a year, and they were very shy, nervous about coming up to feed (lots of raccoons in the area, definitely at the pond, so the koi are very wary). I switched to this food when I ran out of the other food, and I liked that it was multi-season, since I'm on the California coast where summers can be cool and foggy, plus I thought the clear water aspect would help the pond. Anyway, started feeding the koi this, and within a month, they started coming up to get fed whenever I called them. Never did that on the other food. They push each other to get to the pellets. They are just so much more enthusiastic about feeding than they were before. And they seem healthy, the water in the pond looks pretty good, so it seems to work as advertised. My hands smell pretty strongly of shrimp and fish touching this food, so I would not recommend this to anyone with shellfish allergies. But my koi are very happy.

Quality
Best food for my gold fish and koi. Yes, pricy but cheaper than you can get outside in stores or suppliers. You don't compromise on quality.

Expensive, but the fish seemed to love it
Very pricey and goes quick, but all my fish other than my Sorogoi seemed to love it. He spit it out for a few days. I think these are significantly harder than the other blends. Since it’s warmer now, I moved over to Staple.

I have the satisfaction I am doing the best for my koi
Our little school of koi seem to be thriving and coloring up very nicely with this food. I also blend it with the Saki-Hikaru Color-enhancing, as I want good weight, good color, but not fast growth. We have quite an investment on the quality of our koi, all hand-picked, and believed that this time around they deserved a better grade food than what is easily picked up at the LFS. All young fish too, so wanted them growing with the best. As it is winter here, much colder water, previous koi have gone quiet for feeding, but this group seems to be quite interested in at least one daily meal. Water temps are in the mid/upper 50s to low 60s, this food is formulated to be able to feed in these temperatures safely, and I'm happier knowing that my youngsters are still getting nutrition and not depending on the smaller amounts of fat they may have built up after arrival at their new home. So far, no complaints.

Great food to get big fish
Great food for my Koi fish. I have been using this for the past seven years and my fish are huge and the water stays clean with this food. I use it all year round but live in Southern California so it never gets that cold. I think it is worth the extra price for the quality of the food which seems to help my fish get big and look great.

They eat it ALL!!
The smallest koi is 5 inches and the largest is 8 inches, the rest are somewhere in between. this food size is perfect for all of them, and they prefer this over Daikichi which is a little bigger pellet size.
