Lots of bang for the buck, lots of click too!
First off, yes this works on Windows 10. No problem whatsoever once it was securely plugged into my PC's USB port. Now, as others note you wouldn't want this for anything but fighting games and old school games that don't use analog sticks or triggers. That stick you see on this controller is not an analog stick; It's a series of microswitches that reads on the PC (and I assume on the Xbox 360) as a POV Hat or D-Pad. This means it's perfect for pulling off complex arcade-style moves as in most fighting games. Add to that the micro-switch buttons and the fact that this is strictly a wired controller, and you have a very responsive gamepad, indeed! However, be aware it's not a quiet gamepad, either! Those microswitches make clicks that you'll feel and hear. The "back" (select) and "start" buttons are up on the top of the pad, next to the cable input. This keeps them out of the way while you're pulling off fighting game moves, and it gives the controller more space in the front to lay out the buttons in the standard Capcom/arcade layout: Six LARGE buttons, in two rows of three each. There are also shoulder buttons, but these don't come into play in most fighting games unless you're setting up macros or other controls. For NeoGeo games, this layout requires you to do a two-by-two input map (NeoGeo had two punch buttons and two kick buttons for fighters), leaving you with two extra buttons at the end of each row (again, good for macros or other hotkey combos). This simple design also makes this controller a great stand-in for most classic console controllers such as the NES, SNES, Genesis, TG-16, and classic arcade machines. You wouldn't want to use it for newer console games, like N64, PS2, or GameCube because those all need analog sticks (and for that, I highly recommend an Xbox One-S controller) but this controller shines on older games designed with digital controls in mind. The package is pretty basic. The manual essentially just says "plug into USB and play" in seven different languages, so don't expect much from that, but there's really not much more to it than that anyway. Any newer version of Windows will plug-n-play, and Xbox 360 will work right out of the box, too, of course. The USB cable has a break-away feature, so that if you yank it you'll pull the cable apart instead of pulling your Xbox/PC onto the floor. That's always welcome, and it's one of the features I've come to appreciate from PDP.Build quality is very good for a controller in this price range. I've no complaints. It doesn't squeak or creak. It feels sturdy and solid, and it doesn't feel too light or cheap. I wouldn't recommend throwing it or stomping on it, but if you're a sane gamer who takes care of their things, it should last plenty of gaming sessions.I honestly can't find anything to complain about with this controller. For the price you likely won't do better for a fighting/classic gamepad with microswitches. There are other options out there, of course, but they all come in much more expensive and I somehow doubt they're worth the massive markup when compared to the PDP Versus Controller.Five stars, no doubt. A must-have for any fighting game fan and a great choice for fans of emulators and classic games.

Great quality for the price
I like that it's cheap as dirt but works great. The stick has a very clean and precise gate on it that clicks pleasantly as you hit each of the eight directions. giving you an additional cue that you've hit your intended direction. It is worlds more accurate than the X360's D-Pad or analog stick.Unfortunately, after about a year of use, the stick started to rebound -- a tap left would be followed by an unintentional tap right. I immediately bought another one of them, though. The pad is so good for how cheap it is I don't mind replacing it every year or so.This puppy has seen me through a $1.5M game of Spelunky. I use it frequently for Skullgirls and Street Fighter, but I'm not a real professional at those games, and so what's fine for me may not meet your standards.

Perfect for old-school fighters
In the first month of use, this is a great controller. I was looking for something specifically for a variety of fighting games on a PC. This controller works perfectly for arcade fighters, especially the classic Capcom and even Neo-Geo games. A few of the newer fighters that were designed for standard Xbox controllers did require a little bit of button remapping.Overall, the feel of the controller buttons and D-pad work much better than I'd expected. There are no analog sticks, only a D-pad with a stick design, which is honestly my favorite feature. All buttons have a light click when pressed and the D-pad gives you feedback in all 8 directions. I have not run into any quality issues as of yet. My only gripes are that the weight seems a bit light and that there is no force feedback.

So close to beting the best fightpad I've used
This would have been the best fightpad I've ever used if it weren't for a fatal flaw. The problem is diagonals are hit or miss on this pad. To go from walking forward to jumping back is hit or miss. Most of the time it does what I want it to do, but at the heat of the moment it doesn't register and I get pounded. Same thing goes for walking forward to crouching block.Other than that, there's a lot to like:- it's cheap. I got mine for $10- rolling and spinning inputs are easiest on this controller out of all the fightpads I've used- Microswitches gives you great confirmation that you entered an input. It's 'clicky' but not that loud.- It's better for your thumbs. You don't have to push down that hard on it as compared to other fightpads. After I stopped using this pad because I got a Hori Fighting Commander, I started getting calluses on my dpad thumb. This wasn't a problem after about 100 hrs of use on the Versus controller.

Ok Check it out
I ran with this controller for about 5 weeks because i really really wanted it to work but here is the hitch, diagonals YES Diagonals are almost impossible to hit off the jump and into crouch. Most of the time i would be in crouch but get hit cause it wasn't registering back and down, now you may think oh wow you noob but you'd be wrong because same thing off the jump i would almost always jump straight up, when trying to jump at the opponent. Ok it sounds good in theory ween yourself off a pad start by using a mini joythumb-stick, but no way dude beware this thing will drive you absolutely crazy. It does have some benefits such as for the 360 motions but "THATS IT!" Trust me even half circles are sending my super out or making me dragon punch. I used this thing for more than a month and almost smashed the thing into my hardwood about five different times in that period. For street fighter stick with madcatz d-pad or a logitech/playstation controller for the win!
