Works amazing with Samsung Health!!!
Got this scale to try and have better accounting of my wellness journey. I had a different brand that, although worked fine if it was just me, it wouldn't work for my husband, which caused him frustration with trying to complete the same goal. That brand would use Health Connect to have their app talk to Samsung Health, and it would send the information over........ eventually, which neither of us liked. We needed something that would send the information as if it was being done directly through the Samsung Health app.I actually stumbled upon this scale when I was looking at one of Omron's wireless BP monitors, I decided to download the app first and see how they share the information, boom, direct link, I was excited at that point. Went ahead and purchased the scale, got it all set up and Bluetooth connected, stepped on the scale when turned off, beeped at me when it was done, gave me the go ahead to press the SET button, boom, information transmitted to the Omron app that immediately sent to the Samsung Health app, I'm so freaking happy 😁 Got hubby get set up as well, he's happy with it so far ❤️This scale can also link to Google Fit, which is kinda funny since we both have Google phones but we both have Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Samsung Smart Ring, so we just go ahead and use the Samsung Health app instead. This is going to be super helpful in order to record and track our weight and stuff as we work on trying to better our health, Omron has been around for quite a while and I knew they have good BP monitors so I'm certain this scale is gonna be great 👍🏻

Accurate - matched my DEXA scan
Just had my first DEXA scan and am very pleased to report that the body fat composition reading matched what my Omron scale has been telling me. Highly recommend. The only drawback is that the Omron app/scale does not easily sync with my Fitbit and other tracking apps. There is a way to sync it with Google Fit and then sync Google Fit to other apps though.

Provides Bluetooth-accessible body weight, muscle and fat measurements.
I got this bathroom scale in order to have it sync my weight, fat and muscle measurements with the OMRON connect app which I use for my blood pressure using another OMRON device. The synching of the device with my iPad and iPhone works reasonably well but at times it requires a manual syncing procedure either with the bathroom scale or the blood pressure cuff. Overall good value.

Higher cost scale, but well worth it!
Having had a recent health crisis which made it clear that I needed better methods of monitoring my health, I began searching for a superior product, while keeping in mind features vs cost. My cardiologist recommended the Omron line of scales, and while I'd already purchased a lesser scale (Health-o-Meter), I was impressed by the features offered by the BCM-500 from Omron. While it provides percentages of your visceral and body fat, and skeletal muscle, it also provides your BMI and resting metabolism numbers, all of which can be monitored over time on the Omron app (via Bluetooth sync) on your smartphone. While this may sound like a rehash of their own ads, it is actually quite helpful when used to monitor progress over time.It is particularly interesting to watch the fat and muscle numbers change as your body changes, and gives reinforcement that your habits are working.I'm in weight loss mode, and I know this works for me now. But I'm quite looking forward to see how it helps me once I am done losing weight, and transition to maintaining it, while building muscle and leaning out. I'm sure it's the perfect scale for me!

Didn't Work Right so I Returned it
Since the scales I received wasn't working right and was very erratic. I can't really evaluate performance. However, one thing I did notice was that it doesn't measure water % like most other body comp scales. After you get on the scales, it eventually cycles through the different measures but they are a bit hard to read and aren't lit up much, so I found that very unsatisfactory.Another negative is the Omron app, which doesn't seem very complete compared to other apps and it was a real pain to set it up. I was surprised at the poor app performance because I also have an Omron blood pressure monitor and it works great on the same app. It's almost like the scales part of the app was an afterthought, definitely incomplete in what it shows (not all the measures from the scales) and overall the app part is just not well designed...it almost seems unfinished.I returned the scales and bought a very similar scales for about half the price from another well known manufacturer and it works beautifully plus after weighing all the measurements stay on the screen so you can see them all at once. Also the other app seems quite good and sets up almost instantly, unlike the Omron app. So while the scales I received were erratic and not working right, even if everything was working I'm not sure I would recommend it.

How to get it to work on android
Here's what I had to do to get it to connect the app to the scale, which is nowhere in the instructions. This was on android.- Install the Omron connect app- In the Omron app, click more(...) in the bottom right corner.- Click profile- Click connected devices- Click add deviceSyncing: It's important that auto-sync is turned on. If you try to manually sync by pressing the sync button on the upper right of the dashboard screen it just spins for several minutes, gives up, tells you to press and hold the on/off button on the scale, then press the Bluetooth button on the scale, then click "try again" on the phone. It's infuriatingly bad design.Instead don't do anything after weighing yourself. Just walk away and let it auto-sync, which happens in maybe 10 minutes or so. You don't have to have the app open or anything. A notification that it has synced will pop up on your phone. The instruction manual sucks. The app sucks. If I didn't already have an Omron Complete BP monitor I would send it back, but it's nice to have my results in a single app.
