One of the best collections I’ve ever gotten. The material, dimensions, and box set are all in excellent condition. Most importantly, the content is outstanding. This is definitely a must-have.

This collection is such a great find. What I love about Roald Dahl is how well he captures the way kids see the world. At that 8–12 age, things tend to feel very black and white: good vs. bad, fair vs. unfair. And his characters totally reflect that. Think of Miss Trunchbull vs. Miss Honey: no confusion about who to root for. But then he also gives us more complex characters, like Willy Wonka, who’s strange, brilliant, and kind of unsettling... but ultimately a good person. There’s more to unpack, and kids really respond to that. Dahl's stories have this deep sense of justice, too. Cruelty is called out, unfairness feels outrageous, and things usually resolve in a way that feels right. It’s been so much fun revisiting these with my son. They’re just as wild and funny as I remembered and now I can appreciate how intentionally they’re written for the way kids actually think and feel.

My 8 year old laps these up. Dahl is one of the all time greatest storytellers. This is a great collection and all are must reads for any generation.
