A Game-Changer for Pool Maintenance – Affordable and Effective!
I recently purchased the Pool Mate 7-Pounds Premium Pool Stabilizer and Conditioner to help maintain my 15,000-gallon backyard pool, and I’m thrilled with the results. As someone who’s always looking for cost-effective solutions to keep my pool crystal clear, this product has exceeded my expectations, and Amazon’s price was unbeatable compared to local pool supply stores. Why I Chose This Product I was struggling with rapid chlorine loss due to intense sunlight in my area, which was driving up my maintenance costs. After testing my pool water and finding the cyanuric acid (CYA) level was below 30 ppm, I knew I needed a reliable stabilizer to protect my chlorine. The Pool Mate 7-pound bucket caught my attention due to its concentrated formula, solid reviews, and the fact that it’s made in the USA, which gave me confidence in its quality.Ease of Use The instructions on the packaging are straightforward. I tested my pool water using a reliable test kit (as recommended) and calculated that I needed about 18 ounces to raise my CYA level by 30 ppm for my pool size. I added the granular stabilizer slowly through the skimmer while the pump was running, and it dissolved completely within 24 hours, as promised. For those new to pool maintenance, I’d suggest pre-dissolving the granules in a bucket of warm water to speed things up, but I had no issues with clumping or residue using the skimmer method.Performance The results were impressive. After adding the stabilizer and allowing the pool to circulate for a day, I retested the water, and my CYA level was right in the ideal 40-60 ppm range. Over the next two weeks, I noticed a significant reduction in chlorine loss, even during hot, sunny days. Previously, I was adding chlorine almost daily, but with this stabilizer, I’ve cut my chlorine consumption by at least 20-25%, just as the product claims. My water stays clear and sanitized, and I’ve saved both time and money on pool chemicals. Value for Money At $36.19 for 7 pounds, this product is a steal, especially since Amazon’s price was lower than what I found at local pool stores (where similar products were priced $5-10 higher for smaller quantities). The 7-pound size is perfect for my pool, with enough left over for future adjustments. The cost savings from reduced chlorine use alone make this a worthwhile investment. Pros Highly effective at stabilizing chlorine, reducing loss due to sunlight. Easy to apply with clear dosing instructions (6 oz per 5,000 gallons raises CYA by 10 ppm). Affordable price point, especially on Amazon, beating local competitors. Large bucket size offers great value for multiple applications. No residue or cloudiness when added properly. Cons Takes 24 hours to fully dissolve and stabilize, so plan ahead (not really a con, just something to note). A measuring scoop would’ve been a nice addition for precise dosing, but I used a kitchen scale without issue. Final Thoughts The Pool Mate 7-Pounds Premium Pool Stabilizer and Conditioner is a must-have for anyone with an outdoor pool exposed to sunlight. It’s effective, easy to use, and delivers on its promise to extend chlorine life, saving you money in the long run. Amazon’s competitive pricing made this an even better deal, and I’m confident this product will keep my pool in top shape all season. Highly recommend to pool owners looking for a reliable and budget-friendly stabilizer! Disclaimer: I purchased this product myself and was not incentivized to write this review. All opinions are my own based on my experience.

Reliable Stabilizer That Helps Maintain Chlorine Levels
The Pool Mate 7-Pound Premium Pool Stabilizer and Conditioner has been a solid addition to my pool maintenance routine. It effectively stabilizes chlorine levels, reducing the need for frequent chlorine additions, which is both convenient and cost-effective. The product dissolves relatively quickly when added to the skimmer, especially if pre-mixed with warm water, and the included instructions are clear and easy to follow. While it’s not the fastest-dissolving stabilizer on the market, it performs well and offers good value for the price. Overall, this stabilizer is a dependable choice for maintaining chlorine effectiveness in your pool.

Keep Your Pool Water Clean
This works to preserve the chlorine level in your pool water, and it's a better price than I can find locally. I broadcast it in the deep end of the pool, it's easy to use, but it will take at least 24 hours to fully dissolve. If that's a concern, you can dissolve it in a bucket of water before adding it to your pool. My Taylor test kit tells me how much cyanuric acid I have in the water, so I can weigh out how much I need to add. It doesn't evaporate, so it lasts a long time. We will lose some after heavy rains when some water runs out the overflow pipe, so about once a year I will have to replenish the stabilizer.
