True Mexican Taste
Products from this brand has the most authentic Mexican Flavors. This is one of my favorite products to use when I have to make Mexican Food.

Decent quality, super easy to use
These are decent refried beans and very easy to stir up and add on nachos. The taste is decent too. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because you almost can't see any separate beans. It's all a pulp. I like my beans to have individual beans.

Better alternatives available. And it’s not vegetarian.
Contains lard, so I don’t see how it can be labelled vegetarian. Hydrogenated lard too, according to the ingredient list above. Taste was just about OK, the same company’s refried beans (without the ‘traditional’ tag) are far better.

Warning: This product is NOT VEGETERIAN
I'm just appalled by the wrong marketing of this product as Safe for Vegeterian. The ingredient list clearly shows Lard as one of the ingredients, which is nothing but pig fat. Safe for Vegeterians note must be removed from the product description.

Contains beef (lard), not vegetarian.
This is not vegetarian. It contains lard, which is animal fat. How can amazon mark this as vegetarian. Please change the listing.

Rosarita was out of stock. And canned refried beans have to be pretty much a commodity, right? I recognized this brand which made me feel safer as well. I opened the can and had to pour off an inch of liquid. Well, that happens. Cans sit, things settle. Then I tried to scoop out a spoonful for my burrito. But I couldn't. To scoop something, it has to be somewhat solid and these (even at room temperature) are about a thick stew. Once heated these beans pretty much poured out the burrito at any opportunity. I also notice no sign of beans. Even our preferred Rosarita is mostly mush, but you can still see some beans. This one seemed to be powered beans that had been reconstituted with way too much water. We did not finish the first can and threw out the second. It ruined the burritos. I would give it just one star, but it didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste like anything. I figure something would have to be inedible to get just one star. I could eat these, I just really really didn't want to. Plus, the price was not bad.
