Good stuff with some minor issues
Nice thick foam that is super sticky. I used this for sound insulation on the hvac ducts in my basement. You'd better put it down in the right spot the first time, because it's not coming back up without tearing the foam.I would have given this 5 stars except for 2 things:1) The backing is harder to remove than it should be. It doesn't always come off in one piece.2) The backing could use some 1" grid lines to make measuring and cutting easier.

Very Good Product, but, "made in Russia"
You will not see the "made in Russia" bit until you open the package.

Definitely buy if you're serious about insulation
This product is very well made and definitely high-quality. There is a kind of a string material laid into the aluminum backing which prevents it from overstretching and tearing. I found this to be very useful when installing considering I was walking on it and kneeling with my knees I never had an issue of tearing the glue is very strong so make sure you know where you're putting it because you won't be able to lift it up without destroying the foam. I use this to insulate a transmission tunnel and the entire floor of my vehicle there is absolutely zero heat radiating from my carpet now .The paper backing was hard to take off initially but I took the roll into my driveway and rolled it out completely paper side facing up in the Sun and 20 minutes later the glue was soft enough to easily peel the entire paperback off. So if you have issues peeling the paper just roll it flat and make sure you pull carefully because the the paper easily tears.

Good investment.
Bought one package to see what installing would be like & determine how much more to finish a Ford E250 van.Another review said lay it out in the sun to soften the glue for easier paper backing removal. Do that, it actually works. Measure twice, cut once & scissors work best.Had little trouble installing by myself. Sound & temperature affects were immediate. Initially pleased with the product & calculated only need 2 more packages to complete the project.

Somewhat bulky to handle, a helper would be nice.
I used this to replace under hood insulation on a pickup. A rodent got into the factory insulation, and destroyed the blanket. I washed the underside of the hood with detergent, and rinsed. When dry I installed this blanket. It worked out well. I laid the old mangled insulation on top of the new blanket and rough cut the shape. Since I was working alone, I then split the new blanket in two, for easier handling. Even so, it took some delicate handling to get it up on the underside of the hood. If I had been working in a shop, I would have dismounted the hood and set it upside down on supports. All in all it went well. I used a roller to press the adhesive down, used a razor blade to trim to fit, and aluminum tape to seal the edges and center seam. I would use this again. It is certainly making a difference in the sound in the cab in my diesel pickup.

Great Product
This stuff is incredible. Adhesion is all that & then some. You can't go wrong purchasing this product. Just make sure you start with a clean substrate.

(UPDATED) Pleasantly surprised
Update 12/1/2020:This stuff Is still adhering to the old fiberglass on the boat! Also, since I had a little bit left over, I lined the motor compartment of the riding mower (using caution to avoid direct motor Contact of course)...a seriously pleasant reduction in motor noise. What else can I stick this stuff to? 🤔I was skeptical about this products' performance, but have to say I'm pleasantly surprised.Used on an inboard boat to quiet down motor noise from the 5.0L Mercruiser. I wiped down the compartment with a dry rag, dry fit the sound barrier, cut it with a sharp box cutter blade, removed the paper backing, and stuck the barrier down. Immediate relief! This is about 1" thick...just be sure you're not touching any hot parts directly and it should be fine.I have about 2x the quantity that I need...so have extra to cut and place in various locations to make it even quieter.Good product.

Use hair dryer helps in cool weather.
I installed under hood in 40F weather. Using a hair dryer helped with adhering and peeling the backing paper off.Heat it up a small area, put the heater down so that you can use both hands to put mat in place. Then heat up another small area. It’s easier than it sounds.

Works like a charm!
We used this to re-insulate the doghouse in our RV. It sticks like crazy, so be careful. It's half the thickness of the old fibreglass insulation so we doubled it up. Made a huge improvement, in sound & temperature. I think I'm going to do the floor under my feet next. :)

Expensive
It worked fine and did its job but expensive.

Used this to patch the insulation chewed by animals
Easy to install, adhesive enough to hold in place.
