Pe'ahi ('peh-AH-hee') polarized wrap sunglasses get their name from a legendary surf break on Maui's north shore. In reverence to the power of the waves, these durable frames are made with clarity and durability top of mind so when you wear them you can feel both comfortable and powerful.

Sunglasses
I was skeptical that these would be a knockoff, if they are I can't tell. I have the same pair that I bought years ago and compared side by side. Very good sunglasses, as I just did, I will buy again.

Second Pair - Husband Stole first pair
Until I tried my first pair of Maui Jim's 5 years ago, I was a Ray-Ban girl, nothing but Ray Bans. When I was waiting for my daughter at an eye exam, I tried on this pair of Maui Jim's - and wow, amazement. Of course, the eye dr.'s wanted more money for them than I was willing to spend - so I put them back, and bought my first pair from Sunglass Hut. The quality of these glasses is amazing. I'm not sure how or why, but I truly see better with these sunglasses on then without. Everything is crisp and clear - and even if the sun is blazing, you can see clearly without glare. The other day I was driving during sunset - and had to look directly to where the sun was setting to see if another car was coming before crossing the road. My Maui Jim's were perched on top of my head, because I had just left my home. I couldn't see a thing except for bright light reflecting off the roadway, but the moment I put on my Maui Jim's - I could clearly see. The Peahi's are my favorite - they fit well, they retain their shape, and they look good on both my husband and myself. I swear he left his Ray Ban's at Home Depot on purpose so he could "borrow" my Peahi's. That's ok - I got my new pair from Amazon 2 days after I ordered them !

Great Sunglasses
I love these sunglasses. I bought and returned three different Maui Jim models before these. I have found that the sizing info on the Maui Jim site is wrong. For example, temple length on the the Peahi was the same as the Wassup, but the Peahi went much farther back behind my ear. I have a large head and these fit perfectly.I always thought that glass lenses were too heavy in these larger styles. I have a pair of Maui Jim "Island Time" and after a few hours my nose is red where they sit. These Peahi's can be worn all day and they are still comfortable. I think it comes down to the fit. If they fit right, the weight isn't noticeable and they don't cause discomfort. The trouble is, when you initially try glasses on, they may feel great (my Island Times feel great the first 30 min) but after a few hours the discomfort starts. The ability to return or exchange becomes very important.

This item is either a second quality Maui Jim or it is counterfeit.
This item is either a second quality Maui Jim or it is counterfeit. It does not meet Maui Jim standards Hinges are noisy and out of alignment and the lens is not the original for this model

Best sunglasses I've ever owned. PERIOD
I am a photographer and I need to protect my eyes. I normally will cheap out on things EXCEPT my eyes. These sunglasses protect 100% against UV as well as IR radiation. IR radiation is not something that you have to worry about pretty much ever, but if you have sensitive eyes and can see a little bit past the normal visible spectrum this will be a filter and cut off some of that IR spectrum. You will notice some reds will look more intense. It's quite interesting during the autumn to see some red leaves through these lenses. Not just that but the polarisation is much better than Ray Ban. I was an adamant Ray Ban fan ever since I can remember, but finding out that Maui Jim uses Zeiss glass I switched without looking back. Everything about these sunglasses is great. If you want to keep your eyes for many years to come, these glasses will help you get there.

Good prices
I really tried to like glasses besides Maui Jim's but they just fit the best. Lower prices than anywhere else and timely delivery.

Amazing, full coverage, crystal clear, lenes scratch fairly easily
Before I started wearing prescription sunglasses these were my absolutely go-to. I still wear them when the correction isn't super important (the prescription is mild). I have light irises, relatively sensitive eyes and work outside, do a lot of sailing, have worked as a launch/water taxi driver in a harbor and as a life guard at a pool. These glasses were critical. I used to get sun related migraines on the job from squinting, straining and exposure, these solved the problem.PROS:- amazing coverage, most peripheral view is still maintained and there is very little "light leak" behind the frames- crystal clear, when these lenses are clean and worn in sunny and partly sunny conditions its almost like seeing HD, it adds contrast and removes the glare without uniformly darkening everything (as Polarization is supposed to do).CONS:- can be a little on the expensive side (don't pay over $150 (they are at $140 at the time of this writing), otherwise check other sellers, ebay, etc).- lenses are not true, pure glass, the coating on the outside is easily scratched from a simple drop on asphalt, impact or even an unintentional brush with a zipper from pulling a jacket on over your head. (I've done all of these). A few things to note: usually something that close to your eye, tiny scratches won't make a different. Also, Maui Jim has a pretty good replacement policy and will replace the lenses for a reasonable rate so you don't have to buy a whole new pair.
