Q: Is it okay to go out in the sun for long periods of time if you just dyed your hair?

Thank you for contacting Clairol Professional! Your hair color will fade more quickly if it is exposed to strong sunlight. On really hot days, make sure you protect your hair with a hat.

Q: Can I mix 3N cocoa brown with 5G light golden brown to lighten my dark brown/black hair to medium brown?

If you mix the brown with the blond, it more than likely won’t pick up the blond. Especially on pre-colored black/brown hair.

Q: Are you suppose to shampoo after washing out dye

Q: Do I need to lighten my natural hair first to get the color on the box

I’m relaxed but I didn’t lighten it first. The color is very subtle though, so after a few months I’m going to do the honey blonde to get a lighter color.
