Practical and easy to use sawing machine
Great sawing machine, I am not advanced in sawing, but I need it occasionally to fix things and alter it and this machine is so easy to use. It has so many useful functions. I definitely recommend it

A Great Second Machine For Beginner/Intermediate...
I decided to buy a new sewing machine because my other one was a manual and super beginner-friendly (around £70 to £80) and after 4-5 years it had shown signs of failing the tasks I wanted to achieve. I have been practicing for a few years now and thought that a better machine would help my ability to be able to do more things at a better standard. It took me a while to decide on which one to choose but after a lot of homework, I came to a decision on this Uten Computerized Sewing Machine. One of the things that attracted me to it was the helping hand threader. This was because my eyesight is not like it used to be. Although it is something to get used to. It works sometimes and then not others. I think the main thing is, I have to get used to it. There are a lot of things to go through on it that I don't think I will use, to begin with. I only really want the straight stitch at the moment. I could use the zig-zag stitch for edging but I am looking into an overlooker. It is costly but it finishes off the edges much more professionally than a just zigzag stitch. When in business the professional look helps sales big time. INSTRUCTION MANUAL... The modern way of having instructions is normally going online and looking it up yourself. In this situation, there were 4-5 booklets that were in different languages including English. I'm old school and having the paper instructions is a big tick in my mind. IS THIS MACHINE COST-EFFECTIVE? I think it is worth its price. As many machines of this standard are £200 or £300 or more in some places. For the number of tasks this machine offers it could be a business builder in itself (if that is what you want). As it offers embroidery skills but I'm not sure at what standard they would be, as a proper embroidery machine that I also have been looking at is around £2000 or more in cost. CONCLUSION... I am very happy with this sewing machine to what I can use it for at the moment. From the information, I have collected from other uses they say it is a game changer for many tasks that I really have not learnt yet. So I am really looking forward to trying them out in the future. If you are a practicing beginner and not a very early beginner then I think this would be a fantastic sewing machine for you to progress onto.

Great Machine - very happy
Really pleased with this machine. I have been sewing for many years (including making my own wedding dress... twice!), and this is by far my most favourite machine, well apart from my hand-turn Singer. The machine is surprisingly quiet, which means my husband can watch tv without sounding like a kid in the back of a car, asking me "are you nearly done yet?" every two minutes. Being able to limit the speed is such a great feature, and I love the fact that if a pin goes under the needle, the machine automatically stops for you to sort it out before it causes too much damage. The ability to remove the foot pedal to control it from the machine is fab. This means that when you use the lettering function the machine finishes automatically at the end of each letter, keeping it neat and tidy. The size of the lettering can be changed, however, I have found using the largest setting is best, as when it's smaller some of the letters can be a bit hard to read in combination with other letters. The range of different stitches, is brilliant. Some lovely overlock stitches to deal with a wide range of fabrics, and the decorative stitches are pretty too. This is the first machine I have owned where you can drop the feed dogs, and you can do this very simply by moving a switch down and across. I am just experimenting with the freedom that this brings, and loving this new found way to use my machine. This machine is simply a joy to use. I was a little sceptical at first with it being a brand I didn't know, but for the price I thought I would take a chance, and I am so glad I did. One very happy lady here who is desperately trying to keep her daughter away from it, I mean I have 5 other machines so why can't she use one of them instead...

Incredible for the price
If you are ready to upgrade from a beginner machine (mine was a manual Singer with 10 or so stitches) but not ready to pay £500+ for a fancy one from a popular brand then this machine is PERFECT. I have had this machine for 6+ months and any teething issues I had have long since gone, and were all normal for getting used to a new machine. The different stitches are easy to use, automatic buttonholes are fantastic and really clearly described in the instruction booklet. It's super easy to thread, works really well with the generic plastic bobbins. I mainly make garments, so I don't use the decorative stitches too much but everytime I have they have been great. I really love the start stop button for doing things like buttons holes or lettering. Two things worth nothing, that I hadn't seen mentioned - the straight stitch length maxes out at 4.5mm which is fine, but does make gathering stitches a bit tougher to pull together. Secondly, The lettering stitches are quite small even at their max size, I've only ever used them to personalise little makeup bags or pencil cases, which is fine but don't expect to make a feature of embroidered letters on anything larger. I will probably upgrade eventually, but mainly as I'd like something with automatic thread cutting but right now, that's not worth the price tag of bigger brands. Do not worry about not knowing this brand, the manual is super comprehensive and it is compatible with generic feet/bobbins etc - it's well worth the cheaper price to go with something less popular!!
