Shadow Warrior

This game has all the fun of the Duke Nukem engine with a lot of great quotes, interesting characters, and even a severed head that you can use as a fire breathing weapon (seriously).If you like retro games, and you can tolerate graphics and game play at about the same level as some of the early FPS games (quake and Duke Nukem) then you will like Shadow Warrior. You have to move through levels that are surprisingly non-linear at times, collect color coded keys to gain entry to new areas and dispatch a variety of evil characters, including demons, ghosts, humanoids and other weird stuff. The game also has a good amount of content and I think that it will take a while to beat. I have a real nostalgic spot in my heart for this game. Playing LAN games against other players and hearing Lo Wang say "You have a new friend" when I stick a spiked grenade to an enemy seconds before they are blown, literally, to pieces always made me laugh out loud. . . and this was before we wrote that lol.Don't even get me started about the girls in the bath houses.

I play this game again today a dozen years after it came out. If you are looking to kick some tiny snake coward ass this is the game for you. I gave it to a friend of mine a few weeks ago and he hasn't stopped playing it yet. To me, along side Duke Nukem two of the best games ever invented. I'm sure it has made 3DRealms a ton of money. GET THIS AND HAVE FUN.

If you are not running OS X, this is still the best game to hit the Mac environment to date. Shadow Warrior outranks any other Shooter game for OS 8.0-9.2. Without cheats, it took me nearly 9 months to work through the 20+ levels. Cheats are a huge help.Multi-player networks don't get any more lively than this, with Lo Wang battling his twin, etc. in a dunk-and-cover jungle or on a wide-open plateau where you always materialize in the same spot. This gives your enemy many clear shots at your head, so move quickly.Challenges in the game are the ultimate with a diverse group of relentless pursuers out to hammer you all at once. Giants, dragons, invisible assasins and nearly impossible corridors to traverse. Lo Wang is challenged physically, mentally and spirtually.Even with a G4/1.0 gig tower and OS10.2, I still find myself time to boot into OS9.2 to play a game I used to play in Las Vegas after hours at work on the fastest Power Computing machines on Earth. I was always buried quicky in 1997-98, but now the tables are turned, and Lo Wang blesses all who are loyal.

Probably the coolest game I've ever played. It plays like Duke Nukem in the orient, with a highly sarcastic ninja kickin' butt.Shadow warrior has elements that Duke doesn't, however. You can drive tanks, forklifts, boats and several other vehicles as you roll over your enemies (where several gibs fly all over the place). The carnage in this game is amazing as you hack with your katana (Oh, look! Split personality), use twin uzis and even an atomic bomb (It is good day to die).And did I forget to mention the anime women who all have their own insulting reasons they won't talk to you (I don't think my mother would approve is about the nicest thing they say)?Also, later in the game you get to take over a destroyer long enough to launch a couple of missles (Tora, Tora, Tora)!The humor is high, the violence is amazing and the story isn't bad. If you love the orient, Duke Nukem 3D and sarcasm... this game is for you!

Shadow Warrior is an amazingly fun game to play. Using the old Duke Nukem 3D engine, it looks kind of dated now, but Lo Wang himself more than makes up for this. Using a variety of fun weapons, such as his katana, uzis (up to 2 at once), nuclear missiles, fire-spewing heads of decapitated enemies, and so on, this samurai is trying to avenge the murder of his master. Don't look for a whole lot of plot development, that's not the point.This is the funniest game ever. There are witty retorts for every situation, weapon, and enemy...However, even on easy mode, this game can be remarkable hard because it doesn't take much to kill Lo. Other than the basic enemies, almost everyone can kill you real fast in a one-on-one, and when you run out of ammo, it auto switches, usually unfortunately to an explosive weapon. Prepare to save a lot.Even so, I definitely recommend this game. It's a classic masterpiece.

For the time period it was released, this game is totally awsome and I still play it to this day. The multiplayer is fun also when you have computers linked up thru IPX network. I played the demo out for a month and finally went out and bought the game. It has a good storyline and is fun to play and I recommend you purchase this classic, look at the price...get it now!

Shadow Warrior is a fairly good game, it uses the tried and true Duke Nukem engine. I really enjoyed this game because I am into Kung Fu flicks. The game is a very gory game, for example when you have defeated an enemy he puts his gun into his mouth and shoots himself. You also have some awesome weapons at your disposal including a katana(which you always have at your disposal),a riot gun, a rail gun, ninja stars, grenades, and a rocket launcher. You are also able to ride some vechiles, including a fork lift and a boat mounted with uzis. I really enjoyed the game. If you enjoyed Duke Nukem I would recomend getting this game.
