My favorite book for 2005 -- recommended to many people
This is just a great book and I can't recommend it more enthusiastically. Her writing could definitely use a bit more editing, but it is clear, easy to understand, very easy to follow, and very engaging. Not only have I used her contents to make a huge difference in my own life, but I have recommended it to dozens of people. This is the kind of book where almost everyone "gets it" right away. Just within my own family, my husband, my sister, and my niece have all read it and all agree with me that it can make an astonishing difference in your life, really quickly.I've been the queen of self help books for probably 20 years now. I have applied many of the things I have learned and could say I was one of those who had my life where I wanted it to be in about 80% of the areas. In the last few years, I've been frustrated that I seem to be sitting on a plateau and couldn't move from 80% to 90% or, even better, 99%!This book singlehandedly pushed me off the plateau and I've gone zooming into the 90+ percent range almost overnight. When she says the "astonishing power of feelings," she sure isn't kidding!I realize that part of the reason I have been on a plateau for so long is because I was focusing so much on what was wrong and putting a lot of negative energy out about it. Just like she says in the book, whenever you focus on what you don't want, it grows. For the first time in over 50 years, I am not beating up on myself for everything I haven't done perfectly. (Are any of you perfectionists out there? You'll love this book!)It only took me a day after reading this book to see that my focus on the negatives in my life was what was keeping me stuck. As soon as I quit bemoaning those things, the changes were very evident within a month or less. I am the most energetic and enthused I have been in many, many years, and the procrastination that I had going on in some areas of my life simply evaporated once I quit criticizing myself for it and quit focusing on it.I was talking with a man about a month ago who was very stuck in his life, specifically about editing a book he wanted to publish. Every word out of his mouth was so negative and critical, it was hard for me to keep a straight face and not giggle. I sent him a copy of this book and he read it immediately. Last week when I talked with him, every word out of his mouth was positive and he is going great guns on the book now. That's actually what motivated me to come write this review -- I love having a book I can send to people who are "stuck" cause this one can move them ahead more quickly than any other I have ever read.I have some people in my life I have been encouraging for years to get out of their negativity, with little success. All of them have gotten a copy of this book for Christmas. Now if I hear them sending out negative energy, I plan to gently remind them of this book and point out that they are creating what they don't want in their life.Lynn Grabhorn, I'm a huge fan! I'm writing a book now on financial planning basics for people in their 20's and 30's and I intend to recommend "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" in my book. What a great way to get them started in thinking positively about their money!!Jan Dahlin Geiger, Certified Financial Planner(tm), author of "Get Your Assets in Gear! Smart Money Strategies," scheduled for release in April, 2007.

This book is waiting for you
"Excuse me, your life is waiting" sat on my coffee table for about 4 months before I read it. It was hard to talk myself into reading another manifesting/"Law of Attraction" book, it's such a simple concept. Lynn Grabhorn puts a couple new twists on the subject, and has plenty of entertaining examples. I applied the concepts to my life and saw improvements overnight. It was an easy read, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to rereading some of the sections. Why is the book 300 pages? Examples, plenty of them. Her style is a great narrative that encompasses her life story and stories from participants. They're all relevant and make the book and messages flow with ease. What these anecdotes do is point out all the little pitfall you could experience along the way. This is also the only downer in the book, how NOT to think or feel prevails and often I was pepping myself up.The most stressed point in the book is feeling your way through life. Both listening to how you're feeling in each moment and creating day dreams to find your motivations. Looking deep within yourself to find why you want the money, to buy a car? Why do you want the car? Happier drive to work? Now describe how it will feel to drive the car? Listening to the music, in the cool air conditioning, smiling, cruising down the road.... feel your happiness in this moment. These kinds of feelings are what she tries to pull out of you over and over again. As any book with a four step method that's applied to all aspects of your life, it's repetitive and she uses the same words over and over again. It will either drive the concepts home or annoy you. Lucky for you, she presents three ways to lighten up your mood :-)Five out Five Stars for bringing new life to a dry subject.

Excellent - Life Changing Product
I received this CD from a friend of mine who knew I was going through a tough time. The information in the CD CHANGED MY LIFE and quite frankly, helped save my life. The times are still challenging but how I think about them and have been able to change my thoughts around the issues and my life circumstance allows me to embrace my situation and take positive action to get back on track. This CD provides step by step instruction on how to "feel" positive, not just "think" positive. This CD shows you how to create hopeful positive thoughts and feelings and tells you how to replace the negitive depressed thoughts with the happy hopeful thoughts and feelings. Prior to listening to the CD it was all I could do to get out of bed as I was that depressed. Many CD's have great information but can be hard to listen to because of the reader. In the first 10 minutes of this 5 CD set I felt a connection with the work. The author's voice warms me and comforts me; it's like she is a good friend and mentor sitting in the same room, understanding my pain, not judging but just soothing and comforting you. Both my friends who are listening and reading the book felt the same way.If you are familiar with Ester Hicks and "Abraham" this CD is in line and influenced by their philosophy. I have purchased this CD for another friend who said it changed her life and another friend is reading the book and said that the book is putting together pieces that that not been put together for her prior. I cannot recommend this work highly enough for those people who are open to alternative thinking. If you are closed minded and not open to new ideas, then you most likely are not ready to hear this material.
