Great product
Have used this on live edge kitchen island, end tables and benches. Food safe, easy to use just don't apply to much, you will just waste the product. Provides a great finish. Months later it will need a touch up due to surface use but brings the finish back with little effort. Highly recommend it for wood and more. This container last a long time.

Great food safe finish
I really like this oil. It gives a really nice finish to your project and is fairly easy to apply but it does take a little more work to buff off but well worth it. I have been using it on bowls and cutting boards. I suggest watch a video on application and you can't go wrong.Good stuff a little expensive but I will continue to keep using it.

Like magic!
I bought this stuff to polish some of my antiques and I cannot believe how amazing it is. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Easy to apply and just gorgeous results!

Beautiful finish with less work!
Although it at seem pricy, a little truly goes a long way! Enhances natural wood chatoyance in less time and with less effort than many other finishes. It’s safe and easy.Notes to keep in mind:1. Follow the application directions precisely! Do not deviate!2. I found that I had to ensure the application pad was well saturated before really getting the “a little goes a long way”3. The higher you sand, the more you will have to buff it in to ensure proper saturation. I was able to get 400, 600, & 1k sand to soak it up but it took more elbow grease as I went up.4. Using the butter then wax after this truly does produce visual results. Using as a stand alone produces a satin finish.5. This has a shelf life and begins upon introducing to air. Bloxgyen will prolong this.6. Has the most dramatic effect on darker woods. It doesn’t darken up lighter woods too much but it brings out the grain well. It REALLY makes end grain pop. (See finger joints).Woods applied to: Teak, Oak, Mahogany, Padauk, Walnut, Maple, Keraki, SakuraAll in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase, will be buying the Dark next, & recommend if your looking for an easy good looking finish.***UPDATE***It’s been over 6 months since initial application. Durability has held up against water and humidity. Water beads and wipes easily with no stains. The shade of woods like teal and walnut has darkened. Maple has yellowed. I have since applied to a new desk project of walnut and keyaki.

Great stuff
This is my absolute favorite wood finish. Easy to apply. Protects wood wonderfully and smells great. A very small amount goes a long way. Well worth the cost.

Pleasantly good for bare wood, adds shine on top of Danish oil
I've used Odie's on both new wood and old wood surfaces that were already coated with other products. On new wood, this gives a very similar look to Danish Oil: It darkens the wood color and provides a smooth slightly waxy feel.On old wood surfaces, it provides some minor shine and makes old wood look lively again. I used it on two pairs of speaker cabinets from the 1970's with good results.Be warned that this stuff is REALLY viscous. This is the biggest problem with Odie's. It is about as thick as cold honey. The label says that a little product goes a long way, but it's so thick and slow to work with that it's difficult to spread a small amount over a large surface unless you heat things up. However once you do work it, it gives good results. Also be aware that the label gives some vague guidance about how long to leave it on before buffing it off. Typically I leave it on 12 to 18 hours before wiping it off. This seems to give it more time to soak in, but that's just a guess.Due to the thick nature of this product, I can't imagine it would be ideal to apply it in cold climates because it would be even harder to work in,slower to soak into the surface, and slower to 'dry' or cure or do whatever it does when exposed to air (if anything).I suspect this product is a blend of mineral oil, beeswax, and perhaps orange or lemon oil. It has a pleasant vague fragrance that is hard to describe but may be beeswax.I like having this on hand to rejuvenate old wood, however I am not sold on using this on new wood because i just prefer other products. However if you wanted to go "solvent free", this product would work well. One final note: I used Odie's as the final coat over 4 coats of Danish Oil. The results are amazing. The Danish oil finished with XXXX steel wool looked great, but as a test I applied a layer of Odie's. The Odie's moved the satin finish to an attractive semi-gloss finish and gave the wood an even more glassy feel. This is a great combination and the surface could be easily re-coated with Odie's or a similar product after a year or two.
