I received my tapping mat and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and durability of the mat. It’s made of very thick rubber so when you hit the portafilter against it, it doesn’t make a loud noise against the counter and wake up the whole house. It’s also very convenient to have the mat because you can just lift it up, run it under the sink and put it back and your coffee area is clean again. When rinsing it’s kinda ‘sticky’ but I think that’s due to the rubber material, so I don’t think it’s avoidable. But all in all, I’d definitely recommend for those who have an espresso machine!

This is absolutely perfect for our coffee bar! It fits perfectly and doesn’t slide around. The size is just right. I have no issue opening the drawer under the counter. It’s THICK, so saving my stone counter from all that hard tamping.

Thick yet stylist tamping mat works great with my Breville Machine and protects my counter when prepping my coffee. Easy to clean as well.

Cute addition to my supplies. I would probably have gotten a bigger mat that goes under the espresso machine and ends at the counter. Only because water gets underneath and im having to remove and clean it anyway

A barista friend suggested I get one of these. This one was thicker than the others I looked and is terrific, thick enough that I don’t worry about my counter when tapping and tamping and sized a bit narrower than my Breville Barista Express so it fits on my counter without taking up extra space. Since it is silicone it stays in place, but does get espresso dust sticking to it. It cleans up instantly with water and a wipe of a towel to dry it.

Great little addition! Doesn’t slip on my granite countertops and is perfect for tamping. I most likely will purchase a larger version in the future, but this does the job for now. Super easy to clean and so far has held up to my coffee loving household.

Works as you would expect! Great standard thick tamping mat that doesn't slide around on the counter. The best part is how easy it is to clean-- rinse it off and it looks as good as new!
