STRONG!!!
Very sturdy and STRONG! I'll have to use both hands to open them. They close very tight. I'm going to buy another set.

High quality clamps for a fair price
The last five years or so even some Bessie clamps have really begun to disappoint me. It seems like some of the brands are trying to figure out how to create lower end product lines, hand that off to a Chinese partner, with the result that their products are just as crappy as a cheap Chinese knock off. fortunately, these clamps are still the real deal. Even though I’m pretty sure they’re also made in China. given today’s world politics I make sincere efforts to avoid anything made in china. They compete, if you can call it that, so incredibly unfairly. Furthermore, they outright and shamelessly have stolen so much American and European IP that it has gotten me to the point where I’m very engaged in avoiding Chinese anything whenever possible. I would rather pay a reasonable amount more if I can buy items that are truly made in the US. Not assembled. Made. That was my therapy session. Back to these clamps. They work really well, and they have enough force to hold wood pieces together I’m working on with enough authority I confidently leave stuff overnight.

Good quality.
Despite not being manufactured in the USA, these are pretty well made. I'm glad I purchased the version with the vinyl tip & handle covers--the covers cushion somewhat and keep adhesives from sticking as well to the clamp. Springs are very stiff, a plus or a minus depending on what you are using them for. Not a problem for strong hands, and I'm sure they will relax a bit over time.

Good, stiff clamp
Same great, stiff clamp. Looks identical to my older clamps. The spring is strong, may not be suitable for all applications but great when one needs a solid hold.Sadly, no longer "Made in USA" like my older clamps.

Much better value than buying the same thing at the hardware store
Much better value than buying the same thing at the hardware store!!! Work great and are really the exact same thing I could've bought at Lowxxx for about 1/2 the price!

They work - WELL
If you are using these for woodworking, you cannot have too many of them, I have roughly 2 dozen and could use three times that many. My wife has actually taken to using them too, which may mean I need four times more...The clamping force is strong enough to hold tough jobs in place, I have been using them to hold bent wood in place most recently and have never had an issue. I have used them to hold a wide variety of pieces together for glue-ups and have even used them to create "stops" for repeatable cuts. Once you have them, you will find a million uses for them. One item of note, you have to have pretty strong hands with these (and the smaller ones). Granted this should make sense right out of the gate, but it is worth mentioning. My wife often has to use two hands to utilize them, not due to a lack of strength, but her hands are not big enough to grip the handles and have enough leverage to use them with ease. Still, she loves them and uses them on numerous projects.Six will lead you to a dozen, so just start with two packs, you won't regret it.

These clamps are the real-deal!
These clamps, unlike every other I've seen on Amazon, have non-removable rubber (or poly-something, etc.) tip covers that will NOT fall off, like so many reviewers have commented on so many other brands of clamps. They are also built very well...old school!

Not made in USA anymore!
While these seem to be of similar quality as my older ones, I was a little disappointed to see they are now made in China.. That was my deciding factor in buying these! I knew my old one's lasted a long time and were American made! If I would have known, I probably would have shopped around a little more.
