All the Best

This review is for the Modern Talking "All the Best - The Definitive Collection" 3cd set. I was first exposed to Modern Talking in 1986 (and Sandra, another European artist). I loved their music, unfortunately, it never quite made it over the "pond" (aka Atlantic Ocean) to North America. I have been eying other compilation discs of Modern Talking but when I saw this one, I had to have it. The music is excellent, the quality is great, my only disappointment was that it's a shame there are no liner notes for this collection other than track stats. I don't regret buying this collection, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a set of songs from Modern Talking that spans their entire career - and for the price can't be beat!

As a long time Modern Talking fan, this Best of was a great purchase for me, here on amazon itself, because it contains all essential tracks, REMASTERED. Thus the sound is louder. For the long term fans, the CD1 and CD2 are primordial. It even contains some German versions and some versions with another singer. My favorite track is "Wild wild water". Nice recording, new piece.

I was looking at just listening to a few tracks that I was familiar with. Yet, there were several tracks that were suprising good as well. This is probably the definitive collection of Modern Talking that you can find.

I LOVE this album so much!!!!!!!! I bought Three more to give to my friends and family!!!! the best in the world, I wish they keep making more albums. Thomas Andres's voice is so magical and you can't get tired of these songs. I can hear it for ever and pass this album to my children in the future.

f you like music of the 80th this is the one to have as well. I had LP in the 80th and was happy to by it again. Really good music for the dance party. I was going with my friends after dinner and put this CD in they have never heard it before, they were jumping up and down and in the morning asked what was it, said they are going to buy it

This is the album that has German version songs from Modern Talking and it sounds very nice. No other album from Modern Talking will have the few German version sound tracks.

I've been a fan of their music for at least 25 years and this is a great compilation

This review is for: All the Best Buying this set gives you a one-stop library of the best of Modern Talking. Their sound is fairly consistent throughout the years, only really getting a slightly heavier beat and more modern as you would expect. But the key here is great melodies and hooks - catchy choruses that stick in your head. You'd be hard pushed to think of a Modern Talking track that isn't here, because this covers all the hits and key album tracks. "Brother Louie", "Cheri Cheri Lady", "Atlantis Is Calling (S.O.S. For Love)", "Geronimo's Cadillac" and "Jet Airliner" are all included in their longer 12" versions. Also of interest here are 3 early solo tracks, one by Thomas Anders and two by Dieter Bohlen under another name; Ryan Simmons. If you like Europop/Eurodisco/Eurobeat or whatever you choose to call it, this is a very satisfying collection. As a previous reviewer states quite rightly, it is hard going listening to 3 CD's of Modern Talking back to back (but to be fair, who wants to listen to 60 songs of any artist in a row). This seems to be designed more as an archive covering the best of their output from 1984 to 2003 and the thing that struck me most is that all the tracks are good, no fillers. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the megamix (Space Mix) due to the added rap. But it was a blessing they only featured the rap on the megamix, because the later hits were recorded in multiple versions, some with added rap from Eric Singleton and here they chose to use the versions without rap instead. For me this was a blessing. At the time of writing this review this set is only £10. It will be much more expensive when it goes out of print, so my advice is grab this bargain now.

Es uno de los recopilatorios más completos que se pueden encontrar de Modern Talking. Los dos primeros discos se centran en la primera etapa e incluyen no solo los singles, sino las mejores canciones de cada uno de los 6 discos. Son unas 5 canciones de cada disco. El tercer disco recoge los singles y mejores canciones de la 2ª etapa, unas 3 o 4 canciones de cada disco.

Endlich gibt es - nach unzähligen überflüssigen Zusammenstellungen - eine umfassende CD-Box über Modern Talking, die Beachtung verdient und den Kauf wirklich lohnt. Die vorliegende 3-CD-Box enthält nicht nur alle wichtigen Hits von 1984 bis 2003, sondern vor allem sehr seltene Versionen vieler Titel, die zum Teil kaum auf CD zu bekommen waren, darunter die Original Radio Version von "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" und die UK Maxi-Version von "With A Little Love", um nur mal zwei Beispiele zu nennen. Dazu erhält man eine endlich neu gemasterte Maxi-Version von "Brother Louie", viele Albumtitel und als besonderen Bonus auch seltene Solo-Versionen von Modern Talking Hits, solo gesungen von Thomas Anders ("Es geht mir gut heut Nacht") und Dieter Bohlen alias Ryan Simmons ("Lucky Guy", "The Night Is Yours, The Night Is Mine"), die entweder vor oder zeitgleich zu den Modern Talking Versionen dieser Lieder erschienen waren. Also: Hits satt, viele Raritäten, eine rundum gelungene Box, die vor allem angesichts des Preises den Kauf mehr als lohnt. Kaufen!
