Source AudioSpectrum Intelligent Filter Pedal

I'm spoiled because I already have SourceAudio's SA127 guitar envelope filter which sounds amazing. However, it can't do presets and has a large footprint, so I was buying the Spectrum to solve both of those "problems."Straight out of the box, I thought SA127 sounded way better and the knobs were much quicker to dial in sounds than on the Spectrum. For me, the Spectrum's default presets in general didn't have enough treble/range even with the Frequency/Depth knobs all the way up. Based on all the rave reviews of the Spectrum's default presets, I actually thought maybe the pedal I received had already been unboxed before and someone had changed the default presets, so I went into the Neuro editor to see what could be changed.The answer is everything and then some. There is no doubt in my mind that you can have any filter sound you want out of this pedal, plus octaves, plus distortion, plus LFO/phasey bliss. For my ears, to beat the SA127, it would just take a little bit of work. Connecting to the Neuro mobile app was easy and the app itself a great experience. I immediately found sounds I would never be able to get on the SA127.Long story short, this pedal can do everything filtery you could imagine, especially if you tweak it.Since I already have the SA127, I actually returned it and got a C4, which apparently can load Spectrum presets while also having more synthy options available.
