Worst batch of Chocolate Ever!!
I love Alter Eco Dark Chocolate. I usually order these bars directly from Alter Eco, but their stock ran out so I decided to order from Amazon/The Bena Group. This was a big mistake and I will not purchase through them again!! The two boxes of chocolate I received were inedible and had to be thrown away (they had an odd color, were tasteless, and were very hard and brittle)!! Don’t waste your money!!!!Note: Recent 1-star reviews show that my experience isn't unique. Shame on Amazon and the seller (The Bena Group) for ignoring these reviews and not offering either refunds or replacements (with edible chocolate). They at least should remove this item from their inventory.

Confusing Stats?
I'm confused by the "Nutrition facts" on these bars. It says there are 2.5 servings in the bar, and that there are 190 calories per serving. Multiply this by 2.5, and you should get the total calories per bar, right? 190 cal/servings x 2.5 servings = 475 cal per bar. But the package says there are 510 calories per bar. So, which is right? The math is also a little fishy in the Saturated fat and Total fat categories, but seems more accurate as you move down the chart. (The protein and carb numbers seem to make sense if I assume they are rounded to the nearest gram.) But then it is off again when you get down to potassium, which says 220 mg/serving, which should make 550 mg/bar, but the label says 570 mg/bar. Similar for Iron. What's up with this? I wouldn't care that much, but I'm on a strict diet, so I kinda need to know what I'm dealing with. (Chocolate is a therapeutic food for me(!), but I still have to count the macros closely. :-) Thanks!

Great Bitter and Sweet Treat !!
I initially wanted to eat some healthy Dark Chocolate on a daily basis for my health and had a pre-conceived idea that it might be a little rough (bitter) tasting particularly on a daily basis. Upon receiving and tasting my first portion I wasn't sure that this was going to be a good idea. But I will tell you what, by the third or fourth day I was starting to understand and enjoy the taste. I received 12 bars of the 85% Blackout. I chose it because it seemed to be nutritionally the best choice and your brand seemed way better than all of the well-known brands. Anyway, by the time I finished the 12 bars I am hooked. Bad thing I did not re-order right away and I am struggling now having to wait for my next order to arrive. I highly recommend this product, try it, you'll like it !!

Not expired, Not melted, Product went Bad
I like the alter eco 85% CACAO bar for the taste and the high quality ingredients. Usually I buy one at a time via Whole Foods and they have been all fine. Decided to buy a box of 12 via Amazon. They came well packaged, unopened and undamaged. Expiration date 03/15/26 Lot 1567821B so should have been fresh for a year plus from the date received. Upon opening they were light brown and not black, had white marks on the edges, fully stale and small tastes verified they were bad including texture. Seems like the vendor or along the supply chain that they were not stored properly and deteriorated to not edible. Unfortunate. These are posted as non-return items.

50/50 chance of getting a bad batch with no returns
Bought two boxes. One was perfect the other had gone bad and the seller did nothing about it.I enjoy this chocolate as it’s a healthier option and contains no heavy metals like some of the other brands but it’s a toss up on wether or not its stale or edible.

Great tasting dark chocolate
This is a very good 85% dark chocolate. I used to buy it quite often, but had to cut back because (like everything) it has gotten a little pricey.
