I use these for my job. I work at a school in the play yard to get the attention of students for line up. For the most part, they are a solid, and loud shrill. From time to time, the pea will stick, and it ends up sounding like what I call a Cracker Jack whistle, lol. However, I bought these a couple of years ago, and I am still using the first one (you get two in the pack), so they are pretty sturdy.

These whistles are very loud which was just what I wanted. They are small but then easy to take anywhere.

Working as intended

I wanted to try a whistle to see if my senior hard-of-hearing dogs could hear it and would come in faster from our large yard. My husband told me NO; it would be a waste of money and they would not come to a whistle without extensive training. So, naturally I decided to try it anyway. I chose these whistles because they were inexpensive and there would be one for each of us. Guess what? On the very first whistle, both dogs hurried back up to the door as if they’d been professionally trained. Now they come to this clear and sharp sounding whistle from anywhere in the house too. They are plastic, but unless you step on one, I think they will last a long time. I would recommend them.

I got these whistles for school and calling kids in from recess. I wanted to find the least expensive whistle because we only had a couple weeks left of school and figured it would get lost. I am not thrilled with the quality though even though they were very inexpensive. They don’t blow a consistent sound and sound poor. Overall I should have spent a couple extra dollars for a better whistle. I like they are plastic so they are lighter weight if wearing on a lanyard.
