Good product, works really well I installed it on two French doors of my back porch.

I installed this lock about 6 months. It has been wonderfully. It works well, smooth action, secure locking, easy to use. It was easy to install. I just took my time and referred to the instructions frequently. the only issue i had was the fence company had added a 2X2 square metal reinforcement in the corner of my 5X5 post and I had to drill through 2 sides of it for the interconnection rod. I leave a key in the inside lock so i don't have to carry keys all the time.

Worked great on my 4 3/8" thick wood posts. They don't sell these latches at HD or Lowes

I like this a lot. My door had many failed holes on it. This one also screwed to the side of the door. It works great so far, took some strong hits well.

I'm generally satisfied with the 2-sided latch and lock. Pros: It's about $20 cheaper than the big box stores Installation is relatively straightforward and the parts seem to be decent quality (time will tell) You can reverse the latch in case your gate is on the left or right side of the latch post. Cons: Screws are way too short to hold in wood installations. 3 of 10 immediately stripped out screwing into good wood. I'm fairly skilled with tools, but drilling a straight 5/8 inch hole (for the key spindle) through a 4 inch post will be a challenge for some. Even though I drilled a straight hole, the key spindle was not perfectly straight and still bound while turning the key so I had to slightly enlarge the hole. The hole is made close to the edge of the post, which weakens the wood in this area. It's not ideal having to carry an extra set of keys around. A combo lock would have been better.
