Best stand for the money
I was really looking for a good stand for my headphones at a pretty low price. I looked at many stands and too be honest, a lot of the stands were either to flimsy looking or they had a very narrow ledge that the cans actually rested on and over time, this would begin to deteriorate the headband in the spot that rested on the stand. So I came across this one by Brainwaves, which has a very sturdy design. Also the ledge where the cans rest is fairly wide, which disperses the weight better across more of the headband than just a tiny bit. So if your cans weigh a good amount, you won't have to worry about wearing a spot in your headband. What I like most about this stand is the fact that since the design of this stand is a little unique compared to others, let's the headphones not only rest on the ledge, but also has the cans extend down towards the base of the stand, there is an indention where the headphones are able to rest some of the weight, so as not all of the weight is being dispersed entirely on the headband, so there is literally no way that your headband will become damaged over time for hanging there.

BRAINWAVZ Cans Stand
I was leery initially. Seriously, could an inexpensive acrylic stand hold my new, SWMBO given Sennheiser cans? I'd be really upset, (she would likely file the big D), if they fell to the floor. My worries were not valid. This is a super cool stand that stands on it's own, and a shoulder above the other reasonable offerings. Simply perfect construction, clear plastic welds, the BRAINWAVZ tattoo up the spine was a nice touch. Very stable, and displays well, with or without hanging cans. I was happy, the SWMBO was happy, and we all know, happy wife, happy life. BRAINWAVZ: Helping married couples stay together with cool gear. You heard it here first.

Great stand for smaller headphones; get something else for larger headphones
This is a well-built stand, with two exeptions (in my opinion, of course). One, the stand is too short. My AKG K702, K7xx and Shure SRH-840 will not sit on it because the ear pads hit the bend in the vertical beam and they push themselves off of the stand. Second, the top support for the headband is short and very smooth/slippery. Headphones can be knocked off fairly easily if the stand or the headphone is bumped.I can't recommend a specific stand for larger headphones as I am still searching for a solution, but you may want to look at Brainwavz' Zirconia stand.

A good stand overall but with some issues.
For a headphone stand it works very well, however there are some improvements. Mostly there is no place to route or "store" the speaker wire cable if yours does not disconnect at the headphone itself. For older headphones with stiffer leather bands it doesn't work the greatest as well. It holds my AKG K240 Sextett fairly well. Compare that to my Grado sr80i which fit on it prefect.

Looks good, functions okay
The Brainwavz Quartz Headphone Stand is an attractive headphone stand, but due to the design, doesn't really work as well as other headphone stands. The hook that the head band rests on is flat, so end up having to balance your headphones on it and sometimes my headphones will falloff; you should just be able to throw it on there without having to worry about that.My headphones' (AKG 702K 65th Anniversary Edition) ear cups touch when not being used, so I think a stand that keeps them separated would have been better for me, but that's a personal problem and not really a knock on this stand. For the most part, the stand does what it's intended on doing, looks good and is priced pretty fair. I would recommend this for smaller headphones, not full-sized ones like my AKGs.

Nice sturdy stand that holds most small to medium sized ...
Nice sturdy stand that holds most small to medium sized headphones like most Sennheisers. Will not safely hold a larger sized headphone such as the Sennheiser HD800's or any of the Audeze LCD series headphones. The earcups will simply touch the stem on the stand causing the headphone to tilt and possibly slip off the top of the stand. Will not hold Audio Technica headphones with dual headband styles like most A/AD series headphones (i.e. ATH-AD900, ATH-W5000), or any headphones of similar style.

Nice looking and stable for a good set of headphones
I had been looking for a good headphone stand for a while and was unsure of what to get. The stand didn't look that solid, but reviews were the opposite.I am very happy with the stand. Yes, it is plastic. But it is very solid. It looks pretty good and unique, but does show dust.It doesn't wobble, or move around much.Headphones look great on it.I'm glad the other reviews pointed me in this direction.Only 4 stars??? It shows dust very easily.

no ridges
this looks nice and space-agey. but my one little complaint is that it does not have ridges where the headphone actually comes into contact with the headphone stand. i am being petty i know. and there are very few earthquakes in philadelphia. and when i lose a computer game i bang on the desk and it does not fall off. i may be unfair for this little quible but get the sennheiser hh 10 instead. you get more desk real-estate back because it will fit on the side of your desk.

Good quality stand and very attractive
First off, I would like to talk about the cons:For the price, it is more of a luxury then a necessity when you think about its function. Four bits of plastic put together in a fairly high quality manner, but with that being said and under closer inspection, there is evidence of bubbling in the joins. This, however, is not really noticeable unless you are within very close proximity.Despite being quite sturdy in construction there is a chance of toppling if knocked (this is somewhat rare though!), so just a word of warning to those who have limited desktop space. I did at one stage resort to bluetacking the base down, which somewhat upset the elegance but after upgrading my desk it is no longer a problem. So now lets talk about the pros:The stand came quickly and very well packaged! This stand is very elegant and does function well if its set up correctly. It currently holds my Studio Beats, as I was sick of leaving them on my desk and constantly bashing them about. People have told me that the 'Z' design and transparent nature is unique and very attractive (which I already knew!), and I did catch my flatmate (who slated them for price to resource ratio) looking through the various models provided by Brainwavz later that day!Overall, I would recommend this stand, just be wary of the weight of the headphones you put on them, and their location!

A look to kill for that 20 dollar bill.
A purchase I am not regretting at all. I never used to own a headphone stand, used to prop it on my mic when not in use, which was a stupid idea. With this stand I've found I'm much less likely to knock over or drop my headset. It's not something you really think about, but giving your headphones a stylish dedicated place on your desk hanging on a beautifully designed stand not only compliments your room composition but actually protects your headset from getting damaged if you just left it around as you would usually (I've broken about 9 pairs of headsets/headphones so I'm public enemy number 1 in this issue). Since Getting this stand I've not dropped or knocked my headset over once, and now I have the ability to appreciate the craft of both the headphones, being a sennheiser dj hd8's, and of the stand. It's light, and it's made of very good quality plastic that feels solid and I don't have fear of breaking it, it's firm. The design is certainly edgy and cool, but at the same time it would easily fit in a minimalist setup to give it some spice. I'm appending some images with this review so you can really appreciate the design a bit more in a homely setting, I don't feel the low quality images shown in the product images section do it enough justice. It's not a massive amount to pay, and to be honest, if you have an expensive pair of headphones, I wouldn't even think twice about it. This will showcase your headphones perfectly, you wouldn't want a cheap product to hold up your beloved audiophile or gaming grade headsets now would you? It's money well spent on care, and I honestly think my headphones will live longer now that I have a good place to put them on display, just as it limits the likelihood of them being accidentally damaged.P.S One gripe I did have was the really short ledge upon which the headphones sit on, it's just large enough for the full band but it didn't inspire confidence when I first saw it. Since using the stand for a good few weeks I've not had any issues at all so I just wanted to add in this at the end that if you fear that ledge is too small, don't be, your headphones won't fall off.

Good design!
Having looked at several a few optons, I liked the design of the Brainwavz stands. As I have AKG701 Quincy Jones headphones, I was looking for a stand which was well balanced and this model does the job.

Style in abundance
Very stylish product, feels solid and quality. Only complaint is when hanging headphones on it they will likely touch off the part of the stand which turns inwards half way down.. this isnt ideal design and may eventually lead to a scratch on your headset.. but for quality of build alone I will award this product 4 stars

Looks smart, does the job
I bought one of these and a Peridot stand from the same company. This is slightly smaller and less sturdier than the Peridot, which is a solid bit of kit, but this one looks smart, is strong enough for the job and is great for small to medium headphones.
