Double-check Cadillac SRX before you order
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The hitch arrived and looked perfect for the vehicle. However, when I took the bumper cover off to install the hitch, I found that my mother's 2013 Cadillac SRX already had a hitch (fully covered by the center panel). Check carefully before you order. Thank you Amazon for a forgiving return policy.

GREAT hitch. Easy install.
I bought this to put on my 2010 Cadillac SRX so that we could take our ebikes with us. It's a class 3 hitch, meaning that it's very strong and can support up to 500 lbs of tongue weight. Installation was very straightforward. I had to remove the plastic cowling underneath my bumper and then the hitch slid up underneath it and attached with 5 supplied bolts. The car already has the nuts welded onto the frame, so that made it much easier. All the holes are a little oversized so your can put it on loosely and move it around a little to get all the holes lined up. Once it's on you simply replace the plastic cowling. I recommend trimming around the small hitch cover panel on the car for best look.

Great addition to your SRX
If you want to expand the usefulness of your SRX, this is a cheap and easy upgrade. The four pin wiring harness is also available for cheap. The SRX already has the wiring run to the area. You just have to connect a ten inch long wiring harness. As for this hitch, it slides into place easily and comes with all the bolts to connect it to your frame. There are YouTube videos that show how to unscrew and loosen the plastic molding to slide the hitch into place. In order to make your vehicle look clean, I recommend trimming your center bumper molding and putting it back on the vehicle. I forgot to take a picture of the molding after I trimmed it. But it's pretty easy to measure. I went one inch inside the 'ribs' of the molding for about 5 inches and then rounded the corners to where the hitch is. You can see the piece I cut out for reference. Just keep your Dremel on low speed so you don't melt the plastic. Do a light etching cut on your first pass then work it deeper along your lines. Finish up by flipping the piece over and cutting any remaining areas.

Almost fit
So it would’ve been a 30 min install, but the only bolt holes that actually lined up were the 2 near the receiver, the 4 holes up under the car did not line up . I could not wait to send it back and have another sent. So whilst I had it in place I marked the hole and removed it ,drilled larger holes and it was good. If you don’t have patience and tools don’t buy this or have someone install for you.

Very easy to install, but a little cumbersome and heavy without a second person helping.
Very easy to install on my 2013 SRX, but it is heavy when you are installing by yourself. I had trouble getting the first bolt on (the lower bolt on the passenger side). I knew if I could get that one bolt started the otherswould be much easier since I wouldn’t have to support the entire weight of the hitch. I kept fumbling with the bolt and washer until I decided to just start the bolt without the washer. I got it threaded first try after that and the got the other bolts started. Then I removed that first bolt, put the washer on, and reattached the bolt.My recommendation is to loosely install the lower bolts on either side and then attaché the two bolts in the center of the hitch—you have to pull the bumper plastic over that center part of the hitch. Screw in those center bolts but leave a little loose. This should align the top bolt holes on each side and make it easier to thread those top bolts. You do have to remove the facia support brackets on both sides as explained in the instructions. The four plastic pins that hold the facia to the brackets are split pins—the center part of the pin comes out. You must remove the center part of the pins to remove and also to install them. There is a special tool which I do own, but you should be able to pry the center part of the pin out by using a very small flat blade screwdriver. Once the center part is out, the main part of the pin will easily pull out.

Extraordinarily easy to install, don't forget CURT 56096 wiring adapter for SRX
The installation was extremely simple. The two center bracket bolt holes on each side of the receiver were just slightly offset. I set the end (passenger side) on the side with extra space in those holes on a block of wood, and smacked the other end (driver's side) one time with a sledge hammer. All of the holes lined up perfectly afterwards. The CURT 56096 for SRX just plugs into a factory trailer wiring connector directly above where the receiver protrudes past the bumper, just about centered under the vehicle. Just pop out the factory cover, and plug in the trailer connector wiring harness, and you are done. Some blue loctite on the bolts and some silicon grease in the electrical connect isn't a terrible idea. The included bolts are metric, but a 3/4" 6pt. socket fits perfectly for installation.

Excellent fit and finish!!!
I purchased this for my 2010 Cadillac SRX AWD. The hitch fits perfectly under the vehicle and the quality is excellent. The installation was straightforward and lined right up with the factory holes. Because the car has 58k miles and some corrosion in the bolt hole threads built up I chose to use a metric tap and die set, 12mm x 1.75 metric pitch on the factory threads under the vehicle to clean them up before installing the new bolts.it made the installation go smoothly. Everything lined up as it should and the bolts threaded in with no troubles. I did the installation by myself although a second set of hands would be helpful. Starting with removing the plastic hitch cover plate (two Philips screws) on the lower valance of the rear bumper, then removing the two xmas tree clips on both sides of the lower rear valance that attach it to the metal bumper frame, sliding the hitch one end at a time between the valance and bumper, then aligning the two center bolts, finger tighten them loosely, aligning each end and start those bolts loosely, then tightening the center first and ends last worked well for me. Total Installation took approximately an hour in the garage on jack stands. Having to tap and die the threads in the frame took me about 15 minutes and made the installation go very smoothly. I am very happy with the fit and finish of the hitch. I would purchase another CURT hitch if needed.
