🌍 Dig Deeper into Color!
The Globe Professional Soil Color Book is an essential tool for soil scientists and environmental professionals, featuring a comprehensive range of colors from the Munsell Color Order System. With its waterproof design and convenient pocket size, this book allows for accurate color identification and assessment in any field condition.

Fits in your back pocket.
This book is completely water proof (every page not just the color chip pages), and fits in your back pocket. Color Values only go to 7 all 8's are omitted, so you may want to carry a Munsell in your vehicle in case you come across some value 8 soils. There are no punched holes in the color chips, but the chips pages are varying width, allowing you to see the entire HUE all at once. The smallest color chips are 4x larger than the Munsell Book color chips. The spiral binding could use a bit of reinforcing, I can see it failing after repeated use.

472/5000 It is a good alternative to the munsell color chart
472/5000It is a good alternative to the munsell color chart. The pages are plastic, although a little thin. Anyway, if you take into account the care indicated by the manufacturer, it is very useful for field activities, especially in archeology. The size of the book is perfect to take it everywhere, even if you prefer to keep it inside a ziploc bag to protect it... it is the type of field elements that do not bulge in your pocket or backpack.

Nice size - comparable to the Munsell - orgnanized a little differently
I bought this after seeing it on WetlandTools.com, and am glad I did. It's a good size, water-resistant, and accurate. The pages are organized a little differently than the Munsell, but otherwise it's a great alternative.

An affordable "disposable" color book
I have used both Globe and Munsell extensively and I would say that overall the Globe is an inferior alternative. The color chips seem to get dirty (permanently) quicker and fade faster. The ability to easily replace the most used color sheets in the munsell via the simple to use three ring binder format extends the usefulness of the product whereas the globe spiral binding is cheap and will misshapen over time. Globe however is significantly cheaper. I would recommend that if you need a disposable color book for a single field season go ahead and get the Globe - if you are investing in a color book that you expect to get many years of use out of I would spend the extra money and go for the Munsell.
