This is a great and complete kit for those wanting to learn how to implement a simple LoRa network. The vendor supplies a good tutorial to get you started that is easy to follow. It is a little pricey, but I assume the high price is due to the cost of the gateway included with the kit. While it may be cheaper to build your own gateway (such as using a raspberry pi), the one included in the kit is ready to use and easy to configure, thus more convenient!

The kit was decent, an okay value but the shield was less than perfect. Data seems to get corrupted when spreading factor is increased.

The devices and sensors that come with this kit provide a good start to learning the LoRa protocols and theory. They have a pretty extensive tutorial online as well that will walk you through creating different types of nodes. Definitely recommend being at least a little familiar with the Arduino IDE, some Linux, and connecting electronics. Overall ive been very pleased with the kit and have begun to expand upon it.
