Campbell'sChunky Soup, Manhattan Clam Chowder, 18.8 oz Can

This is one of my favorite soups and my local store does not carry this variety for some reason. Fortunately, I can get it here and have it delivered quickly. Campbells has always been a top quality brand in my opinion. This soup is only 110 calories per serving and it is full of nice chunks of vegetables and a flavorful broth.

Pretty good for canned chowder. Don’t see it in the store anymore just the New England style.

I wanted Manhattan clam chowder and usually got it from Progresso. Unfortunately I am having difficulty locating this product. I tried the Campbell's as an alternative. It has a lot more potatoes and a lot less clam than the Progresso so I won't be reordering it. It tastes a lot starchier and not as flavorful in my opinion.

Funny, I actually ordered this by mistake; I was supposed to get Hubby a New England Clam Chowder and got it confused w/the Manhattan variety. He wouldn't even try it.. said he only liked the New England type. Well, I'm stuck w/it, right? So I decided to eat it myself, even though I've never liked his New England clam chowder. WOW, what a surprise, this stuff was just delicious!! I'm ordering more when I finish this review. Even the broth/soup part is fantastic - really tasty. Granted, I didn't see nor taste any clams, but I didn't care when it was that good. (I don't care for clams anyway, lol.) But there were several veggies in it, and it made quite a filling lunch for me, so I'm looking fwd to more....
