Must have for hot dog lovers...
Everyone who likes hot dogs simply has to have a legitimate hot dog roller in their house. I didn't want to go crazy with one of the super expensive models so this looked like it would fit the bill just right for the house and limited use.Super easy to clean this product once you are done making hot dogs. The top shelf gets the buns warm and slightly toasted which is a nice touch. We use this regularly at the house whenever we want to have hot dogs.I used this enough that I bought it as a gift for a friend and they are liking it just as much as we do. No issues at all with reliability or putting it together. Super quick and easy to clean once you are done (best done while it is still warm). Easy to remove and clean drain pan. Just take care of it and it will continue to crank out the best hot dogs!

Great little hot dog roller!
If you like hot dogs then you need one of these. This is literally a "set-it and forget-it" cooking device.Bought it originally for the office but now I want one for home.Pros:-simple to use-easy clean up-makes perfectly cooked dogsCons:if your dogs are bun length you won't fit 8 but rather 4 on at a timeLet me address a few comments I've read above concerning this unit.Yes, sometimes the hot dogs don't want to roll at first. Why? Because the way they are vacuum sealed squeezes them into a squarish shape. Don't worry once they start to heat and plump they'll roll just fine. As I stated above and others mentioned if you are cooking longer dogs you'll only be able to fit 4 dogs instead of 8. The bun warmer is more of a bun drier as others have said so we don't use that. The right knob turns the rollers on and the left knob controls the heat. We run the left knob at 5 o'clock and in 20-25 minutes you'll have a nice evenly cooked hot dog with perfect color and perfect temperature inside. We've cooked more than 100 hot dogs on this unit since my purchase less than a month ago, unit is still going strong with zero issues. In conclusion I can't think of one bad thing to say about this unit.If you are even a little interested in this item don't hesitate, order one, you won't regret it.

Works fine. I really like it.
I used the machine a week after it arrived. It works fine. Just make sure you insert the roller bed properly or the dogs won't turn. Hot dogs cooked evenly. The rollers clean easily. My only complaint so far is that the buns dry out in the warmer. It has been suggested that they be wrapped in foil while in the warmer. I liked the idea that if you find the bun warmer useless, use the warming compartment for storage of napkins, tongs, condiment packs, etc. Overall I am pleased with the unit so far. I will post an update in the future. One more thing, If when removing the hot dogs from their packaging, they appear "squared" in shape, they won't turn on the rollers at first. After they heat up they become "rounder" in shape and will start rotating.I'm curious to know just what is the difference between the original and the second generation model. They appear exactly the same!

Pretty cool
I purchased this item for about 43 bucks and it qualified for Amazon Prime. It was delivered to my door in the original retail box with a shipping sticker on it. It was held shut with a single sticker at the opening of the box. This could have easily popped open. No matter though because the unit was intact, undamaged and all components were there.Assembly was a snap. Just drop in the roller mechanism and assemble the bun warmer (top) with 4 white posts in the slots they go in. Done. There is a rubber tip protecting the roller gear or whatever you would call it. Just have to slip that off before you drop it in. Pretty fool proof.Operation is pretty simple. On, and the level of heat from min-max. I took it on for a spin. As I have read in other reviews, if you want it fast, use another method. On my first try I took them off a little soon and they weren't very done. I used moderate heat though. On my 2nd attempt I used max and it took about 15 minutes. I have read that is about normal, so this unit is more for the show, and it looks pretty cool. The bun warmer lid was a little ill fitting (picture uploaded) but I can probably just set something heavy on it for awhile to get it to take shape. I have read that the bun warmer is useless and dries out the buns. Maybe if you have a condiment that you would prefer to keep a little warm it could work for that. The grease trap that slides under the rollers does not lock in place, so be careful it you are going to move the unit. The cooking rollers are 10" long. The hot dogs I used (Oscar Mayer) were 5.5". That's for one per roller and 4 max. The box says 8, so measure your wieners if you want to be able to do 8. It will work on sausages also, but they can't be the curved kind or they won't roll. So if your having a get together in the rec room or whatever, this is a cool little retro gadget that's interesting to look at and will crank out a few tubesteaks in the mean time.Update: I tried some regular sized Nathan's hot dogs and they are 4.5" , so you can indeed do 8 at a time if you use this size.

The best hotdog cooker ever!!
The best way to cook hotdogs ever!! Easy to cook easy to clean easy to put together and everyone loved their hotdogs because they cook even stay plump and juicy and the top warms the buns if you wrap them in aluminum foil it keeps the buns from drying out while they warm they stay fresh and also if you want to keep the hotdogs warm and fresh while you make more just put them in plastic or glass bowl with lid and you can refrigerate and rewarm them in rollers later if you want and they are still juicy and fresh! A big hit with adults and kids!
