OAK WOODEN EFFECT PICTURE PHOTO FRAMES SIZE: 20" x 14", PORTRAIT OR LANDSCAPE READYMADE

Had one A1 sized frame delivered, but it was broken on arrival. A cracked frame, but the plastic glass was okay. Upon deciding to return I found I had to pay up front for postage with the promise of refund. Decided to give it a second chance while that was en-route to the depot so ordered a second as a replacement. Refund was not given for the return postage and the second one arrived in even worse condition than the first. The packaging was also worse, so not really surprising. Knowing that I wouldn't get a refund if I returned it, I decided to keep the plastic glass and make a new frame around it as at least that was I had only "paid £30 for some plastic" rather than "paid £20 for nothing".The frame itself is cheap wood (MDF?), which I suspect doesn't help it survive postage without good packaging.

Frame was as described:1) Always worried about "effect" in a description - without a magnifying glass you really can't tell the difference2) Removing the plastic covering of the glass-clarity perspex was slightly fiddly as it tends to generate static, be warned that getting the dust off again is a bit fiddly (hence 4 stars not 5)3) Both backing card and glass were of quite a tight fit do ensure you remember which way round they come apart4) Manufacturing tolerances are very small: be sure you know exactly how big your picture is because the size ordered IS the size you'll receive!

Good price for the size of the frame. Lighter than usual with the perspex front as opposed to glass. Unfortunately, the whole thing was such a tight fit and tight squeeze to even get the front plastic back into the frame that it cracked visibly. I had no choice but to use it regardless, but the crack on the front plastic is quite visible.

Exactly as described though the wood was slightly marked in one spot, I think it must have been knocked during shipping. The clear plastic looked very scratched but once I peeled off the outer protection it was almost perfect, there was a small mark at once edge which is covered by the frame. It works well enough and for the price is wonderful and came fairly quickly.

This finally was delivered by the delivery company on Thursday 14th the packaging was terrible, was worried about how my frame was going to be, but all was ok. The film on the purplex was ok to take off, although a corner was cut off and a mark on the purplex due to one of the metal folds wasnt sorted before packaging, but all in all my picture looks good in the frame and fits perfectly. Am pleased, thank you.

Order arrived on time and well packaged. Very pleased with this product. Having inserted my picture in the frame and inserted wire hooks and wire to hang frame and it looks great on my wall. Would recommend. Thank you.

The package arrived later than expected, but as the courier apologised, I presumed it was their fault rather than the seller. I was disappointed that the frame can only be hung and is not free standing. Perhaps I should read the description properly.

I received this item quickly and was pleased with the quality considering the price and size. The frame does look a little plasticey close up, but for the price that isn't too surprising and once it's hung you really can't tell. However, the frame does bow slightly in the middle, which could make it challenging to hang. There were no attachments to hang the frame and I suspect that screwing hooks in could effect its integrity. I used the sticky velcro pads to hang mine and as it's so light it only took 4, although I did have to keep the pressure on for longer due to the bowing. All-in-all, I'm happy with way it looks on my wall!
