CAP Barbell Standard Straight Bar | 1-in Diameter | Multiple Options

I highly recommend this, it's very good quality! I was looking for a 1 inch, 6 ft bar for all of my weights and this has worked wonders! I'd say the bar weighs about 15 - 16 lbs which helps add some more weight to my lifting. It was a good price when I bought it (about $40)

Great 1" standard bar fits great in my old school squat rack I also got Olympic adapters for it too to use my bumper plates to teach olympic and powerlifting weightlifting movements. Definitely would recommend this bar and I am really glad I got the black bar and i can also use my standard 1" weights now too. We use a lot of CAP weightlifting products in our home gym and they prices are great for this workout family that works hard for our money. I definitely believe there products are Gym quality both me n my 19 year old son lift into the 350 to 400lbs range and the CAP weights bars n dumbbells all hold up! We actually wish they had some T shirts n sweatshirts. BIG BEAR WEIGHTLIFTING GYM APPROVES!!!

I have a pretty extensive home gym and have a variety of bars for Olympic plates from York, Ironmind, and other good manufacturers, but my bar for standard plates was starting to bug me because it has spin lock collars that loosen easily. I thought about getting a new 5' bar for my standard plates that I use for a few accessory lifts that would use regular collars and I started looking on Amazon. Some of the bars had reviews saying that they were a little thin and that spring collars wouldn't fit, but I didn't see anyone say that about this bar, so I bought it. This bar fits my standard plates perfectly. I tried some spring collars, which fit well, along with Ironmind Bulldog II collars, which also fit (the latter are what I use on dumbbells to keep the plates secure). The bar seems solid and weighs 14lbs. I saw some different assumptions about weight, so I got on my digital scale to weight myself, then grabbed the bar and stepped on the scale again. It's technically 13.8lb. by my scale, so I'm just rounding it to 14lb. The odd weight bugs my OCDa bit, so I put 1/2lb. micro plates on it to bring it to an even 15lb., although it honestly doesn't matter. I bought the black bar, just because chrome bars chip a little bit with time and I live in FL, where they'll get some rust (my gym is in my garage). Overall, I'm happy with this bar for what it is. It's inexpensive, but doesn't feel cheap. I didn't buy it for using on major, compound movements, since I have a variety of thick bars and Olympic bars for those, but it's great for accessory lifts. It's 5' long, so it's not going to work in my power rack, which is totally fine. Overall, I'd say you can't beat it for the bare bones $30 price tag.

I gave 4 stars because as far as the product goes, it seems ok. Measurements are even. As far as delivery goes it was a real sheet show. It didn't come in any type of packaging. Which is why it's damaged at the ends and scratched and dinged a little in from the ends. Only remnants of some packing tape that was folded over the ends, which was useless. Not sure if that is Amazon's doing or CAP or UPS since the delivery was handed off to them. It's also missing a rubber washer on one side. I bought this in June during prime day. It was supposed to be delivered July 6th. Nope. Then the 7th. Nope. Then the 8th and so on until the 10th came and Amazon just refunded me. It was in limbo at a UPS facility. Well it just popped up today, July 17th. No packaging just the bar with a sticker on it, probably why it got lost. You can hardly see it.

It has handled 250lbs of weight for almost a year now. Great quality bar as expected

Knurling was very aggressive, but sanded down easily with emery cloth. Otherwise great.

This is exactly what I needed, my previous bar was too short and this is an amazing bar with great feel! Highly satisfied!!!!!!!!
