Mooncandles - 3 Weatherproof Outdoor and Indoor Candles with Remote Control & Timer

These are great candles! They are my first remote operated flameless candles soI have no basis for comparison but I am very pleased with them.So you know...you must have the switch at the base of the candle turned on in order to operate the remote. The remote works flawlessly and performs each of these operations:* Turning the candles on or off. (When turned on, they flicker (by default.)* The flicker can be turned off to produce a steady light.* You can choose between a lower or higher light in either flicker or steady light mode.* You can choose either a 4 hour or 8 hour timer.Note that the remote is required to perform most operations. Without the remote you can only turn the candles on or off. When turned on manually,only the low light flickering mode is available (which is probably the most popular mode.)Note also that if you place the candles a distance away from each other, as expected, the remote will operate the candle(s) that it is more or less pointed at.Before my purchase, I had a concern about battery life (they take two AA batteries) and I'm pleased to say that there is good news here. I have had these candles for two weeks now and have kept the switch at the candle base in the "on" position during this time. While this uses some energy, apparently the energy use is very little because, even though I have turned these candles on (by remote) to the flickering mode for about three to five hours each evening, the batteries are still strong. This would indicate that keeping the candle switch in the "on" position consumes very little power.I have not yet tried the timer but it seems most people are satisfied with that feature.As mentioned by others, these are pure white when off and do not have a waxyexterior so at very close range they are OK but not the greatest looking if that is important to you. However, when turned on they produce a beautiful, soft pale yellow light with a nice flicker or (if you choose) a steady light. For the purpose for which most of us buy candles, these candles are exceptionally good in every way and should please most of us. In short, I think they're terrific and a pleasure to have and use.Added Note on Sept 21, 2014 re: batteries: It has been brought to my attention that these candles now require three triple A batteries instead of two double A batteries (as was the case when I purchased them.) It will behoove you to readthe description carefully before you buy if type of battery is important to you.

There are SO many options for LED candles, and I had a hard time choosing one. These are good quality for the price range, with all the extra features I didn't even know I wanted. The remote is very straight forward, and I have had no issue with it. Each candle takes 2 AA batteries, which saves me from having to get a bunch of weird size batteries. I turned them on, set the 4 hour timer with the flicker effect. They turned off right as I was going to bed, no fuss or hassle. The next day, they turned on the same time I had them on the day before! I wasn't sure how to make the timer work (I hadn't read up on it), and this was a great feature. Now they run every night without me having to mess with them at all, and they turn off when I want them to. I love that they can have bright/dim/flicker/steady settings. The remote is small and not difficult to get the candles to respond to. I have them in different parts of my room - I just point and push, and they work great. It also doesn't interfere with any of my other LED lights in the room. I'm not sure how long the batteries will last, but these have been a worthwhile purchase for me. Lovely ambiance, easy control.

Not an attractive flameless candle set; they look really cheap and super plastic-y and no one would be fooled that these are the real deal. However, since I wanted ones that can be left in a potentially really hot space—a garage in TX—I chose these. I also picked this particular set because they use double As rather than triple As (as I never seem to have that smaller battery size on hand). I do have to be very, very careful when putting in/taking out the batteries out of the compartment as the springy metal thingys (the high tech term for those contacts) are very poor quality; I feel like they’ll snap or twist right off. But I was relieved all 3 candies operated correctly right out of the box and the remote is incredibly easy to use. The candles have a flicker mode, but that’s not my cup of tea as the predictable pattern of the light pulse immediately reveals these are battery powered...but if I ever feel the need to have a mini disco party in my garage, I’m glad the flicker option is available. Ambience and all.The price is right, they do what they’re supposed to do, and since I have these placed in a caged lantern, it doesn’t matter they’re not particularly good looking. I cannot vouch if they’re water resistant nor for the reliability of the timer function as that doesn’t apply to my situation. They also don’t put out a powerful glow but again, you get what you pay for so I really have no significant complaints!!

I have only recently discovered fake candles, and I am a big fan of them. I have different kinds, and this is perhaps not the highest quality set, but I still love them. They don't look as realistic as some other fake candles, but they still look pretty enough and make my house look cozy. You can sort of see the battery compartment when the candles are lit, so you may have to turn them a bit to make them look more realistic.Otherwise, they are perfect. These are resin, so they won't melt in the sun. They don't get hot, so they can be placed pretty much anywhere: on shelves, in tight spots, near curtains or wall hangings, near plants, inside or outside. They can be set to flicker or emit a steady light, can be on timer or simply on/off, and they have a convenient remote.

Ordered this as a gift. Unfortunately one of the candles does not light.

j'en ai racheté d'autres lots, tellement elles sont bien. Piles inclus, mise en marche immédiate, j'en ai acheté des multicolores qui changent de couleur ou restent sur une seule, qui vacillent ou restent fixes, tout ça avec une télécommande. j'ai également acheté celles avec une seule couleur, le rendu est géniale aussi bien en haut d'une armoire que sur une table. je suis très satisfaite de mon achat.Et en plus une très bonne odeur de vanille...

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per queste candele, sono complete di telecomando per accenderle e spegnerle e per regolare sia il tipo di "fiamma", che può essere regolata sia con luce fissa che con luce che "imita" la fiamma di una candela vera, sia l'intensità della luce e volendo si può impostare il timer a 4 o 8 ore per lo spegnimento automatico. L'importante secondo me è posizionarle in un posto un po' in alto in maniera che non si riesca a vedere la luce dall'alto per non scoprire che è una candela "finta".... per il momento le sto usando con batterie ricaricabili e dopo una quindicina di ore di accensione non sono ancora scariche....

Tenía ganas de tener un adorno de estas características. Habías varios modelos de diferentes casas donde escoger y sin duda acerté. Funciona muy bien y es muy decorativo.Las velas están muy logradas y si las pones en un estante que esté a la altura de los ojos, de manera que no se vea la luz, no se aprecia que no son de verdad. Tal vez (por ponerle una pega) el único inconveniente es que cada vela lleva dos pilas.

Ich war zuerst skeptisch weil die Kerzen etwas sehr nach Plastik aussehen, aber abends draußen , jeweils eine Kerze, in den Wandlaternen . Hervorragend!!! Tolles Licht . In den Laternen kann man auch nicht sehen dass die Kerzen künstlich sind. Was auch toll ist , ist die Timerfunktion, außerdem kann man die Kerzen auf "Flackerlicht" stellen. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung!!!
