Compared this to 2 American brands and I thought the American brands where grinded sand. Sorry, but Jacobs is so finely grinded is like night and day different. I also got heartburn from some American brand. Not with Jacobs Kroenung. I am German and grew up with this stuff. This coffee always been very mild. Since our Commissary stop selling Jacobs I had to look on the net for it, and I am glad I found some with a decant price also good expiring date 8/21. So plenty of time to drink all the packs and order more.

This is my third or forth purchase of Jacobs Kronung Coffee from this company and overall it has been a good decision. This last 4 bag batch had wonderful flavor but the grounds were drier than what I am able to get normally. The bag foil lining was thinner than I am used to and that may be because of a manufacturing change, but the grounds just did not have the wet freshness that I usually get. While it probably affected the flavor, the difference was small. I still recommend this coffee, but I will keep and eye on how it is handled and packaged.
